Hello! I'm a first time bunny owner from Singapore who just got my bunny yesterday.

Looks like a hamster at some angles!

The one on the left!

It's a netherland dwarf bunny! I'm so excited, but so inexperienced. Please do give me your guidance!

anyone knows what colour my bunny is? I haven sexed it yet too =/

Welcome to the forum! Your bunny is adorable!!! Sorry I can't help with the coloring. If it was a Flop, it would appear opal. But I have no clue about ND colors, so will let someone who does chime in. :)

Don't let him or her hear making a comparison with a hamster.

You may want to go to the regional section, as I think there's another member in Singapore or Malaysia. I would think that would be helpful in terms of where to get supplies & especially about experiences with veterinarians.

Thanks guys!

ive decided to name my bunny pebbles :biggrin2: also the bunny looks different in different lighting so i cant quite decide which is the "true" colour yet hahaha.

anw, at which age is it suitable to introduce treats to youngbunnies?

Welcometo Rabbits Online, my name is Dave and I am a moderator on the forum. So if I can be of any help please let me know. This is a terrific website for rabbits and their slaves, not only is it very active but also friendly. I am so glad you’re here and I know you will enjoy it.

Hopefuly, your bunny will never get sick,if you everhave a sick bunny, please post in The Infirmary and include your rabbit's age, breed and health history as well diet and output details leading up to the problem.

Here are somelinks I thought you might find interesting:

*For reference the Library section

*To brag or tell everyone about the antics of your bunny or just to talk about your day here is where to start a Bunny Blog, you can also look back at it later and remember when you had a life before your bunny.

*Now all the bunny’s like talk to each other when we mere slaves aren’t around in the Bunny Chat is the spot to be.

*The House Rabbit Society has a lot of good information on what veggies are safe for bunny’s, etc.

*Here is a link to learn what your furry master is trying to say to you How to Understand Your Bunny's Language

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.

Here is a link tothat will help you and your bunny to connect, How to Bond with Your Bunny.

Now every forum has rules and ours can be found with this link Rabbits Online Forum Rules. This gives guidelines on what is acceptable, what is not and how we hope everyone will treat each other.

Everyone on this forum loves to see pictures of each other’s bunnies. So if you would like to post a picture this link will help you do that, Upload Photo's to Photo Gallery. Then in the post, you click on the "G" in the tool bar to insert your photo. Many people also use Photobucket. You just copy the img file and paste it into the post.

Don’t hesitate to ask questions and I am glad you have joined rabbits online; I look forward to seeing you around.

treats--Much as you would like to give treats soon, they need to be older & their digestion well-regulated. They should have only hay & alfalfa pellets until they're just about full-grown, both as much as they can eat [unless they eat too much & are getting fat, then limit the pellets a bit].

Even after a rabbit is eating greens [which need to be introduced slowly to avoid diarrhea], I would be cautious about treats. Once a treat is introduced, your rabbit may be begging for it all day, every day, forever. So stick to good, natural treats such as small pieces of carrot or a little bit of fruit.

thanks all for the advice =)

I noticed that there are crust around Pebbles' eyes, a little bit but visible, does it matter? it doesnt go away even aft he grooms himself.

The eye crusts are about the same as when people have them. The air might be too dry from air conditioning, it could be an allergy to something. Because you just got him, it could be a reaction to something before he came home.

Right now, if he'll let you, I'd just use a damp [with water] soft cloth or small cottonball & wipe the crust, being careful to avoid the eye. If it's not better in a week or if it starts getting worse, do a post about it in the infirmary section.

Pebbles sleeping.

Is it just pebbles or do baby bunnies sleep a lot? i just noticed he's been sleeping a lot today!sleeping on his side is perfectly fine, right? he had a longer time out of his cage ystd so i reckon he's prolly really tired from all the activity; after all he's just a baby! i need assurance! ><

i tried to sex him ystd, but it doesnt look like anything to me yet. LOL.

They are active at night, when we aren't there to see it,

And also he's still new & on edge [slang for nervous] , getting used to new sounds, smells, etc.

Just relax & things will go better. Spend more time reading the information in the library rather than watching him every minute. As long as he's eating & pooping he'll be ok.

Oh, no. I'm so sorry. Poor Pebbles must have been sick when you got him, had a birth defect, or who knows what. Don't blame yourself; you did the best you could.

So very sorry to hear :( It's definitely not your fault. Again, so sorry for your loss
