Hello, my name is Melody and I'm from TX. I've had a rabbit or two (or more) as a pet through the years, and now in my young-adult years decided to make some money off of these cute creatures!

I have two NZW now, a buck and a doe, which I acquired from friends who had too many. Now comes the difficult part-- getting them to breed! I'm still trying, but it seems what I've heard about rabbits multiplying rapidly, is just not always true. Anyway, I enjoy caring for them and can't wait to experience my first litter of kits.

I've already posted in the Breeding section and got some helpful answers. Thank you everyone for your helpful and encouraging attitude!

Hi and welcome to RO!
I think any of our breeders will tell you that entering rabbit breeding with the idea of starting some kind of lucrative business is not the right mindset. I'm glad to hear you've already posted in the rabbitry though and I'm sure our breeders will be able to give you tips to help you start your rabbitry off right.

Thank you for the welcome!
My mindset is to have fun raising rabbits (one of my favorite animals) while fulfilling my dreams.
I just visited your blog... very nice! Looks like we're close in age-- I'm 21. BTW, how does one get a blog on RO?

Welcome to RO. Are you planning on showing your New Zealands? Just wondering cause there's a show in Crosby on the 26th. Its always nice to meet fellow member and talk bunnies at a show :)
As far as making money You have some tough competition. May I ask where your lines are from?
