Hi there! My name is Andreas and my housemate Anna and I have two lovely bunnies called Pelle and Rococo! They are 5 month old brothers of a mixed breed (Polish rabbit and Lionhead), both neutered.

We bought the rabbits when they were around 2 months old and they were very happy to be together, grooming each other and such. They reached sexual maturity only a month later though, and began fighting. We quickly separated them into their own cage and booked an appointment with the vet to have them neutered.

Once we had that done, they both calmed down a lot and yesterday we begun the process of re-introducing them to each other. It seems to be going well as they are slightly more comfortable around each other now, whereas previously they would be very tense.

I'm hoping that with time and patience I can help them build a strong relationship with each other!

Welcome, Been there. Same thing happened to our two rabbits Dobby and Kreacher. Unfortunately it didn't work out and they are now separated. Good Luck though. Just keep an eye on them. We did, but woke up with one barbered. No serious affects, just lost of hair. Now that they are separated, I believe they have calmed down, but I won't introduce them again. It all seems like the dust has settled and they are all getting along separately as individuals. Now that they are separated, I get to see how individual they really are.

Wishing you all the luck.

Welcome to the forum.

2 very cute bunnies. They are a good illustration of what people say: that hybrid [mixed breed] rabbits from the same litter can look quite different.
