Hello My name is Angela & I just found this forum! We have 3 bunnies Hopper a Holland Lop buck we have had him for 2 years, Thea a Holland Lop doe we have had her for 8 mos I think& our newest member Caramela a Lion Head doe who we have had for 2 weeks. We got Hopper from freecycle my son Kyle is in 4-H and we got him for his project to show and take care of. Well Hopper is such a lover!! Then we saw a tort doe from the same person we got Hopper from and IHAD to get her. There areNO plans to breed so that wasn't a factor for getting her but the fact that Hopper was such a lovebug and from the research we have done the breed is just that love bugs. So we went and got her.Kyle hasn't shown Hopper but plans to show Thea next week at the Booneville Oneida County Fair. His first show and he is SOOOO nervous!! He will do fine. And as for Caramela my neice called and her friend had her from the time she was a baby (she is 1 now) and she didn't want her any more so my neice called me and well I had to. She is also a love!! She gives kisses and we are introducing her and Thea and so far so good. I believe she is a double mane. The girl who had her didn't like the mane and trimmed it. well it (the mane) is growing quite fast and there is mane growing on her hind legs which is making me think she is double maned. I am thinking seriously of getting Hopper fixed so he can run around with the girls (when I'm shure the girls will get along without fighting) the only thing is is that if Kyle decides to show him 4-H won't allow him to be shown only in a pet class. And from what I was told (I haven't looked into it) but 4-H may not have a pet class. SOOO But even if he isn't shown he is still loved as much as if he were a grand champion! I have photos of the kids but have to down load the ones of Caramela off the camera. I was going to add photos of Hopper and Thea but can't seem to figure it out. I'll have to fidget with it and post them at a later time. But for now I have to go but Hello from our family to yours and will post more later

finding the photos is actually quite a job! :nerves1LOL I have TONS of photos and Thea and Hopper look SO much alike in the photos! I think I have a few of each but I'm not 100%. And the photos that my son took of Caramela were erased on the camera when Christopher (my 5 yr old) was playing with the camera. SO more photos have to be taken the batteries are charging as we speak. BUT I do have some news. In my 1st post I said how I was going to introduce Thea and Caramela well we let them out together for play time today and they are actually getting along GREAT!!:biggrin2: Caramela is kinda iffy about Thea. But no stomping or growling just sniffing and Caramela has done ALOT of jumping OVER Thea. LOL Thea just lays there and lets her. Yhr 2 youngest boys are playing with hteir carsright next to them. LOL OH I forgot to tell about my human children.

There is Kyle who is the Daddy to the bunnies. He is 10 and in 4-H. Then above him there is Cody he is 16 he likes to watch the buns play but no so much in the care and cleaning. There is Christopher who is 5 and ready and willing to help out with the buns wether it be washing cages, feeding, grooming , feeding, and expecially playing with them! Kaden is 2 and he needs to be watched when the buns are out. He likes to chase them. He isn't trying to CHASE them he just wants to chatch them to pet and cuddle them. And then there is my husband who is NOT fond of the bunnies what so ever. LOL He deals with them cauze hehas NO CHOICE IN THE MATTER!!

We also have 2 dogs. FeeBee who is a 6 yr old dalmatian and JoJo who is a 1 yr old dashund/pekingese mix. AND we have 2 wild bunnies who live out back that the kids LOVE to watch. But that is our zoo in a nut shell. I'm going to check the batteries out shortly to see if there is enough life in them to get photos of these 2 nuts playing. so for now thank you for all the welcome=s and I'll be back with photos.

Welcome, I am glad you found this site. I think you will like it here, it has very friendly & helpful people. We all love our bunny's and no one here gets tired of someone else talk about their buns.

Your bunny's sound adorable, can't wait to see pictures and to hear about your life as bunny slave. Your hubby will come around to the buns, no one can withstand their powers over people.

Dave
