Hello from NL canada,

I am new to this forum and just wanted to introduce myself and my bun. I have a young male lionhead named Dusty. He is absolutely beautiful and so well mannered. I adopted him from posting a wanted ad on a classifieds site and a lady whogot a rabbit and turned outit was pregnant replied to me and I picked a baby waited for him to be ready to leave the mom and she gave him to me. It was so nice to get an animal other than from a pet shop and give a bunny a good home where he will be taken care of the right way. I have built him a c&c cage so he has alot of room to jump and run. I am going to go check out the diet section now so that I can find out how a bunny should eat. Nice to meet everyone, contact me with lots of tips and hints :biggrin2:

Welcome to the forum Leigh! :welcome1

I think it is fate that you happen to post in the classified and there was someone who was looking to rehome some bunnies.

I agree pet_bunny. It was like fate! I had to wait a month after she wrote me before they were able to leave thier mother but I am sooo happy I did. He was always handled so he is super friendly.

Patience is a virtue. It seems the lady knew what she was doing and did a wonderful job raising the babies.

Fate is tempting me too. After Pebbles died, twelve new Flemish Giants were born, and the breeder told me I could have first pick if I wanted a baby.

Awwwwwww that is nice though, Patience is a virtue and good things come to those who wait:D. Sorry about Pebbles though. I know it is hard to lose a animal, they become your family. I lost a guinea pig a while ago he was sick since he was a baby but I kept him and loved him and 3 years and many vet checks later he died, at least he had a good life though. He had something wrong with him , he didnt grow any bigger than a 4 month old guinea pig?!?!?!

Thank you, it is still hard for me. One of the twelve Flemish Giants is smaller and weaker than the other babies. She is fostered with a Holland Lop at the moment. I was bottle feeding her the other day.

So cute though those flemish giants. Best of luck with the baby, lots of love and care and I bet he would be ok. Thoughts and prayers sent to the baby giant from me:)Those flemish giants are absolutely beautiful.

Thank you for the warm welcome guys, I renamed my bun Binky after a few weeks of no one liking dusty as his name.. it kind of suits him though becuase he does nothing but Binky!!! Posting some new pics soon of my baby.

Let me welcome you to Rabbits Online, my name is Dave and I am a moderator on the forum. So if I can be of any help please let me know. This is a terrific website for rabbits and their slaves, not only is it very active but also friendly. I am so glad you’re here and I know you will enjoy it.

Many bunny's recommend their slaves to this site so we may learn of others methods to keeping our furry masters happy.

If you everhave a sick bunny, please post in The Infirmary and include your rabbit's age, breed and health history as well diet and output details leading up to the problem.

I have listed some links I thought you might find interesting:

*For reference the Library section

*To brag or tell everyone about the antics of your bunny or just to talk about your day here is where to start a Bunny Blog, you can also look back at it later and remember when you had a life before your bunny.

*Now all the bunny’s like talk to each other when we mere slaves aren’t around in the Bunny Chat is the spot to be.

*Rabbits Online also has regional forums , this a good way to find a vet in your area that has experience with rabbits and to find out from other nearby of good sources of rabbit supplies.

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.

Here is a link tothat will help you and your bunny to connect, How To Bond With Your Bunny.

Now every forum has rules and ours can be found with this link Rabbits Online Forum Rules. This gives guidelines on what is acceptable, what is not and how we hope everyone will treat each other.

Everyone on this forum loves to see pictures of each other’s bunnies. So if you would like to post a picture this link will help you do that, Upload Photo's to Photo Gallery. Then in the post, you click on the "G" in the tool bar to insert your photo. Many people also use Photobucket. You just copy the img file and paste it into the post.

I am glad you have joined rabbits online and I look forward to seeing you around.

Thank you Wabbitdad, I am really enjoying this forum I have to say. I love how everything is layed out and pretty easy to use. I use the guineapigcages forum also for my piggies. I really think that these forums are the best!!!
