Just wanted to introduce myself. :)

My name is Sharon, I'm 21 yrs. old and I live on a farm in North Carolina.

I currently own 2 rabbits.

Toffee a male mixed breed rabbit, who I got in 2001 or 2002. He was a few months old then. He is a brown/black color.

Dipper is a smaller female dutch rabbit, who was born in April 2008. She is black and white.

I kinda "co-own" with my siblings, 4 rescue rabbits. We volunteer for a dog rescue, and a gentleman called in one day asking if we would take 4 white albino rabbits in. The rescue isn't able to house them, but asked if we would take them until we could find them homes. They've been here a year or so now, but if the right home comes along we'll adopt them out. The reason the guy was getting rid of them, is because he had just saved them from his neighbor who was moving and fixing to set them loose in the wild. Ugh! Some people are jerks! The guy tried to tell her they would probably die, or get eaten by an owl, bird, coyote, etc. but she didn't care. So he took them until he could find a rescue or someone to take them. But the names to those 4 rabbits are Hook, Nibs, Fyn and Wyn. Hook and Nibs are like 2 or 3 yrs. old (I don't remember would have to see when we got them in), and Fyn and Wyn are like 1-2 yrs. old. Hook came to us with a leg that had previously been broken. So his foot sticks out to the side, however he hops around, stands up on his hind legs, etc. and has no problems. I truly feel bad for animals that are dumped because of the stupid stuff people do. Regardless they are safe here until we find them a home or until they pass away after living an long carefree life.

I reckon that about finishes up my introduction. Oh let me post a few pics here:

Let me welcome you to Rabbits Online, my name is Dave and I am a moderator on the forum. So if I can be of any help please let me know. This is a terrific website for rabbits and their slaves, not only is it very active but also friendly. I am so glad you’re here and I know you will enjoy it.

Thank you for taking in those four bunny's. Yes, people who will let a rabbit go out in the wild are jerks.

All of your bunny's are beautiful!

Many bunny's recommend their slaves to this site so we may learn of others methods to keeping our furry masters happy.

If you everhave a sick bunny, please post in The Infirmary and include your rabbit's age, breed and health history as well diet and output details leading up to the problem.

I have listed some links I thought you might find interesting:

*For reference the Library section

*To brag or tell everyone about the antics of your bunny or just to talk about your day here is where to start a Bunny Blog, you can also look back at it later and remember when you had a life before your bunny.

*Now all the bunny’s like talk to each other when we mere slaves aren’t around in the Bunny Chat is the spot to be.

*Rabbits Online also has regional forums , this a good way to find a vet in your area that has experience with rabbits and to find out from other nearby of good sources of rabbit supplies.

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.

Here is a link tothat will help you and your bunny to connect, How To Bond With Your Bunny.

Now every forum has rules and ours can be found with this link Rabbits Online Forum Rules. This gives guidelines on what is acceptable, what is not and how we hope everyone will treat each other.

Everyone on this forum loves to see pictures of each other’s bunnies. So if you would like to post a picture this link will help you do that, Upload Photo's to Photo Gallery. Then in the post, you click on the "G" in the tool bar to insert your photo. Many people also use Photobucket. You just copy the img file and paste it into the post.

I am glad you have joined rabbits online and I look forward to seeing you around.

Welcome to the forums. Your foster bunnies looks alot like new zealand whites. Good Luck on finding them homes

Thanks for the warm welcome! The bunnies do love their carrots, lettuce, grass, hay and a ton of other random treats. They get them in moderation but they do love them whenever we give them. We were also wondering if they maybe New Zealand Whites but we weren't 100% sure, is that a pretty definite guess? I just want to have a pretty for sure on that so we can do our best to get them placed and be as honest about their breed as we can.
Thank you again!

Yes definately new zealand whites. I totally understand, i get frustrated with shelters who call rabbits the wrong breeds its just misleading to the new owners. Oh and if you were curious about your handsome toffee. I think you might want to take a look at the cinammon breed of rabbit, if that doesnt seem right he could just be a black tort variety/color.
