Hi, my name is Vicki. I'm married to Tony and we have 5 children, Kimberley (10), Charlie (7), the twins Harry & Louise (5) and the baby, Alfie (3).
My first rabbit was given to me when I was 6 years old by a family friend. We were told it was a female Dwarf...when we went on holiday, another family friend looked after "Babbit" and when we returned we found the "she" was actually a "he" and subsequently 7 little Babbits were born! Also, our little Dwarf was actually a Californian!!!!
Babbit died at the grand old age of 8 1/2 after a battle with cancer. Naturally I was devestated.
Since then I have always had a rabbit...
When Kimberley and Charlie were old to for the responsibility of a pet, we bought a rabbit for Kimberley and Charlie chose a guinea pig. I then decided that I wanted my own rabbit so bought Silver...then Blackberry...then Snowdrop...then Cowslip...then Dandelion...then The Colonal...then Fiver...then Bluebell...then Willow, Vervain and The General...then Violet and Clover...then Pipkin was born...then Acorn and Haystack...then Speedwell...then Kingcup and Butterbur and finally Buckthorn, Nightshade, Holly and Silverweed.
Now all the children are at school (well, Alfie does mornings) Tony and I decided to start up a rabbit sanctuary. Most of my rabbits are rescue rabbits...each one is very much loved and handled everyday.
