Hello I am new to the forum. I currently have3 buns.

The 1st one who belongs (part time) to my oldest daughter is Oreo. We got him from a family who could no longer keep him and they had originally gotten him from a shelter. All I know is they had him for a year so we are not sure how old he is. I'm pretty sure he is a mix also possibly some English spot and I don't know what else, but he is super sweet and going to get neutered this Thursday.

Secondly is Butterscotch who belongs (part time) to my youngest daughter, we got him from the animal shelter and he is supposedly 1 year old. He is a netherland dwarf (but I wonder if he's mixed also). He is friendly and playful and seems to be getting use to us. He was also neutered a couple weeks ago.

Thirdly is Bailey who belongs to ME, we got her from a rabbit rescue/rehabilitater she is only 12 weeks old and has bonded with Butterscotch already. I was told she is lionhead crossed with mini lop.

I have been considering getting another female while Bailey is young so that I can get them to bond (by bond I mean be able to play together in the same room) I haven't decided if I want a black Netherland dwarf or a holland lop. So all input is greatly appreciated.

I also plan to try to get Oreo and Butterscotch to bond once Oreo's neuter is done and he has had time to heal and hormones to calm down.

Other than that we have your normal zoo of dogs, cats, fish, a gerbil & a hamster. I am a stay at home mom so the buns get a lot of play/ run around time.

My husband is curious as to why I think I need another rabbit:?, what can I say they put a smile on my face and make my days brighter.:sunshine:Either way I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and have some fun and possibly meet another rabbit lover that lives close to me.

Hi, I'm new here as well and I wish my parents has allowed me to have as many pets as you have lol. I too am from Illinois (but I am currently a Zoology major at Colorado State University). I can't wait to see photos of your bunnies :)

Let me welcome you to Rabbits Online, my name is Dave and I am a moderator on the forum. So if I can be of any help please let me know. This is a terrific website for rabbits and their slaves, not only is it very active but also friendly. I am so glad you’re here and I know you will enjoy it.

Rabbits are like potato chips, you just can't stop at one.

Many bunny's recommend their slaves to this site so we may learn of others methods to keeping our furry masters happy.

If you everhave a sick bunny, please post in The Infirmary and include your rabbit's age, breed and health history as well diet and output details leading up to the problem.

I have listed some links I thought you might find interesting:

*For reference the Library section

*To brag or tell everyone about the antics of your bunny or just to talk about your day here is where to start a Bunny Blog, you can also look back at it later and remember when you had a life before your bunny.

*Now all the bunny’s like talk to each other when we mere slaves aren’t around in the Bunny Chat is the spot to be.

*Rabbits Online also has regional forums , this a good way to find a vet in your area that has experience with rabbits and to find out from other nearby of good sources of rabbit supplies.

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.

Here is a link tothat will help you and your bunny to connect, How To Bond With Your Bunny.

Now every forum has rules and ours can be found with this link Rabbits Online Forum Rules. This gives guidelines on what is acceptable, what is not and how we hope everyone will treat each other.

Everyone on this forum loves to see pictures of each other’s bunnies. So if you would like to post a picture this link will help you do that, Upload Photo's to Photo Gallery. Then in the post, you click on the "G" in the tool bar to insert your photo. Many people also use Photobucket. You just copy the img file and paste it into the post.

I am glad you have joined rabbits online and I look forward to seeing you around.
