Thought I'd introduce myself and two bunnies.
Charlie is my daughter's rabbit and is a 9/10 week old Netherland Dwarf male. He's grown a bit since and his personality is really starting to show. He's a goofy little fluffball who loves to binkyall over the place. He has the run of my daughter's room throughout the day (we just put a board up at the door to keep him in) and he goes into his cage at night before I go to bed. And he was so easy to littertrain.
I'd read a lot on how baby bunnies are terror's and started to think maybe I just got lucky with him as he's so well behaved. Pee's and poops in his litterbox, doesn't chew on anything, doesn't throw his stuff in his cage about (probably because everything is bigger then he is)
Then I become the proud owner of a baby Flemish Giant and have been discovering the joys of baby bunnys that everyone else has been talking about.
I've named her Isabella and she's turning out to be quite a handful of bunny. Literally lol
She was the second one in the litter I held before deciding. I decided upon her even before holding her. I was holding the first baby and trying to decide as most of them all looked alike, when she somehow caught my eye, it was as if she was saying 'pick me!' and when I held her in my arms I just knew right away she was the one.
I currently have her in the bottom half of a superpet multilevel ferret home, with an extra ledge for her to go up on which she seems to really like (she LOVES the back of the couch and looking out the window) and I have hopes of either doubling the size of the cage (it's a big cage too 20*30*57 if I remember correctly) by attaching the top part onto the bottom half as well, or eventually when I can get her spayed and Charlie neutered, (and if they even like each other) I can have them freeranging in one of the bedrooms with just using the bottom of the cage for a food and litter area.
She's quite the handful though as she pees and poops 'everywhere' and I've been quite amazed at the amount she does poop and pee! Hard to believe one rabbit can hold that much! Already in the time we've had her I can tell she's going to be one outgoing and curious bunny. She chew's on everything she comes across though, even me. It's not hard, but a couple times she's nipped me hard enough to leave a dent while she tries to decide if I and everything else around her is food. I've nicknamed her Bella the Brat, but such a beautiful brat she is! :biggrin2:
