Hi! My name is Ashtin and I adopted a super sweet fuzzy lop named Teddy Bear on 6/15. She has been nothing but silly and adorable since I brought her home! I'm already picking up on her quirks, like how she hates guitar (but when I play, her stomping sounds like she's stomping to the music, so it makes me want to stop even less! Sorry, Teddy, you're too cute for your own good!)

We did have a couple issues with the shelter... She was brought in as a stray (which I found odd...) so they don't know her age, just that she's an adult. Also, they told me she was a boy when I was adopting her! It wasn't until I took her to the vet that I found out she was a girl. I didn't even think to check myself. :grumpy:

One thing that I find strange about her is that she has the FUZZIEST BUTT! It looks like she's wearing a little tutu! The fur on her butt is softer and longer than the rest of her fur... Is that normal? Also, is there any way to estimate her age? Even like, she's a young adult, or an old lady? She doesn't seem that old to me, but I don't know if there's any way of really knowing... She could just be a very active old lady. :?

From your avatar pic, she looks adorable!!! :hearts My guess is that she's mixed with something and that's where the extra fuzzy butt comes from. She might still be very young too though...my lionhead had "butt poofs" but they didn't grow back after his first shed (at 6-7 months or so). I have no idea how to tell the age though...

But welcome to the Forum! You'll find TONS of info here. And friendly bun lovers too :D

Welcome and I saw the other pics of her. She is just too cute.

I second what Carrie said about maybe a lionhead mix. Agnes is a double mane lionhead and when she lays down with her feet stretched out behind her, her "tutu" sticks way up! Haha definitely has a fuzz butt.

Glad you found us here. Lots of great info and bunny chat!

Honestly, I'm hoping the fuzzy butt isn't permanent. As cute as it is, it's so hard to keep clean... Especially since her previous owners and the shelter clearly never groomed her. She was a mess when I first brought her home, you wouldn't believe the mats I had to cut out of her hair.
