hi there! i'm a 25 year old girl from new zealand and i have a 2 year old neutered smoked pearl male minilop called ludo. i used to be the assistant manager of a pet store and this is where i first laid eyes on my furry little husband lol. his brother had passed away from hind limb paralysis and i felt sorry for him, sitting in his cage all alone. so one day i took him home to live with me and i fell absolutely head over heels in love with him pretty much instantly. he lives in my room and although for the first 6 months i used to lock him into his dog crate at night, now he is well behaved enough to roam free around my room 24/7 (although in saying that, i have learnt never ever to leave anything of value lying in my bedroom floor, including shoes, handbags, books, my hair when i am lying down!).my bunis the highlight of my day, every single day. he has a really spunky personality and if he were a human, he would be jack from will & grace - gay, feisty, but deep down a big wimp. he adores me as much as i adore him and we have a bond that he shares with no one else - i'm his mummy! he's very smart, possessive of his toys, hates his butt being cleaned, loves his ears being stroked, and would spend most of his time cleaning my face and neck if he could.
i have many funny memories of stuffmy wabbithas done:
1) the time he jumped up onto my bedside table and spilled a glass of milk all over my mobile phone. needless to say, my mobile no longer worked. he has also chewed through TWO mobile phone charger cords, the vaccum cord, my CD walkman headphones cord, and the electric heater cord. he dances with danger.
2) i once bought a gorgeous new pair of shoes and stupidly left them on the bedroom floor. within minutes he had eaten a huge chunk out of one shoe. but he is too cute to be mad at. many of my handbags have suffered the same fate.
3) once i woke up in the morning and couldn't find him anywhere in my room. i wasn't panicked because there was no way he could get out but it took me aaaages to find him - he had leapt up onto the top of his pellet sack, across to the dressing table, and into his hay bin and was sitting at the bottom of this huge hay bin i have, happily feeding himself breakfast. there was no way he was going to be able to get out unassisted lol.
4) he regularly uses my cat as a toy to headbutt. he will charge at her and headbutt her as hard as he can. she's normally a real bully but he sorts her out, and she is terrified of him.
5) one night he leapt up onto my bed to give me a goodnight kiss and wound up peeing right on my chest. so lovely :shock:
6) everytime i have raisins he goes INSANE and leaps all over me until i give him some. sometimes when he comes back from the vet or i've picked him up in my arms and he's angry i will try to bribe him into loving me again with raisins. i can always tell when he's REALLY mad because he refuses to eat them lol.
7) he once did a binky that was so high in the air, he landed on top of my bed - back feet first lol. it was the funniest thing i have ever seen :biggrin2:
8) one night i woke up and felt something tugging on my hair - it was my rebel bun, sitting on my pillow and giving me a haircut. i had a patch of hair that stuck up for weeks :?
9) sometimeshe will sneak food when i am not looking - i've walked into my room and heard strange chewing sounds, only to find my bun hiding down the side of the bed with a chocolate biscuit or a cornchip! just tonight he tried to lick the chocolate sauce off my ice cream!
10) when i first got him (before he was neutered), he used to make love to any of my limbs that he could find lol. my arms were covered in tiny bruises from his lovebites! i guess he thought i was pretty hot stuff...
11) he wants to kill my mums slippers. everytime she comes near him while wearing them, he goes nuts and tries to murder them. he's a serial killer.
anyway, there are heeeaps more memories but i won't turn this into a novel. i just adore my blobby bun and i'm happy to have found a place where there are others who are rabbit obsessed like me
