I am a new bunny owner... Yesterday I picked up Ms. Brady. She is only about 10 or 12 weeks old, and adorable. I am not sure of her breed. She is small and a medium grey color. Her breed does not matter to me. I just want to bond with her and love her.

Before getting her, I built her a condo and I also used grids to make a very large exercise area. It is about 12x6 feet. I am not really comfortable letting her run the house yet since she is my first rabbit. I am sure that will come with time.

We are bonding quickly. When I brought her home, she would not come out of the box I picked her up in. That took about 4 hours. But already today, she is coming up and smelling me and she even licked my feet. I have not attempted to pick her up yet because I want to make sure she is comfortable. I am told that when she is comfortable enough she will jump into my lap. We will see.

I hope I have done all my homework. I know that I read and read before getting her. I am sure that if I do have any questions, you all will be able to answer them for me.

Aww, soo cute! I wish I'd studied up on rabbits too before getting my first one. ;( Circle (my rabbit, also a baby) was left outside in her cage, and a storm hit late that night... She died. :cry2

Welcome to RO! If you post a picture of your rabbit, I'm sure one of us can Identify the breed for you. As for coming on your lap. That's a definite. Love it when Thor is exploring and then comes up and crawls onto my lap. :bunnyheart

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.

Here is a link tothat will help you and your bunny to connect, How To Bond With Your Bunny.
