I'm new to the forums, I thought I'd say Hi.

I found this site while searching for info and help for one of my buns with a mild bout of GI Stasis. It is very helpful to read other people's experiences, and the good advice. If I have more troubles with him, I may post in the infirmary. I am also getting helpful advice from my HRS chapter, and he's been to the vet twice in the last week. He seems to be recovering, slowly but surely.

I have a bonded pair (Nick and Amelia) who have been with me for almost 2 years. I also have a single (Tobi) who has been with me for almost 9 months. (She was an emergency foster, but she is so sweet and wonderful, we decided to be her forever home.)

Welcome to the forum! We're happy to have you here :). The members here are chock full of useful (and sometimes USELESS!) stuff to tell you, so please don't be shy about posting questions here.

Post pics too! We love pictures here, we're a picturey loving forum, if that makes ANY sense to you! :)

Again though...
:welcome1

Hi Beth! Welcome to RO! Searching through the infirmary will give you ALOT of info to help with the GI stasis.. So glad you found us here and am looking forward to "seeing" and reading about your buns! :D

Welcome Beth!

The Library here is so full of information, a good read through that really is invaluable. :)

Ok, I've gotten around to getting some photos up online.

This is Tobi. She was an emergency foster that we have decided to keep. She loves to get under her red blanket. Sometimes she will nose her way under and move around under it. She has a yellow one, too, but doesn't play with it much.

Here's Tobi outside of her blanket, her beautiful coloring can be seen. (Is this called sable?) She's only about 3 or 4 pounds. Tobi is single; she tries to bite the noses of my other bunnies. Hopefully we will move somewhere that we can try to find a friend for Tobi.

Tobi's pen and nic cube condo. (2x2, 3 levels tall) I just vacuumed, so she's hiding behind her house.

This is my man Nick. He's currently recovering from GI Stasis. I think all bunnies are cute, but whenever we take him anywhere, he gets LOADS of compliments.
He is super curious, but doesn't like being petted. He's 4.5 pounds.

Amelia. She's very sassy. She always lets us know when she doesn't want us around. Sometimes with a head nudge, sometimes she will wipe a wet mouth on us. She was 5 pounds when we got her, but I think she's put on a little weight. She is either afraid of, or just strongly dislikes, most smells. She hides whenever I cook anything other than rice, toast, or coffee. She is also bothered by unfamiliar noises.

Nick and Amelia together. They are never far apart, it's difficult to get a picture of one without the other.
These two were picked up from a local shelter by my local HRS. They were already bonded, so they were kept together. They were in foster care for about a year before my fiance and I adopted them. I was told they're only about 3 and a half, and i've had them a year and a half.
Given his aversion to being touched, and her aversion to smells and noises, I really wonder sometimes about what conditions they were in at their original "home."

:helloand welcome to the forum! This is a great website with a lot of great people and information.

I look forward tohearing more about your adventures as a bunny slave.

They are b-e-a-utiful bunnies, I'll just have to add them to my bunnynap list;). Great condo's too, nicely done.

What awesome bun-parents your fiance and you are! It sounds like you have really taken the time to create a loving environment for your rabbits. Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to our little family! Your bunnies are precious, but I've got to say, your Amelia looks very much like my little boy, Chester. And I think they'd make a loverly couple. Feel like sendin' her to me in Cleveland, Ohio? Ha ha. Just kidding, but she does remind me of him. All your bunnies are cute and I can't wait to get to know you and your fur-family better!

:welcome1.

Welcome! What beautiful bunnies! I especially love Amelia--sassy bunnies are fun! I love your story about how she hates to smell/hear you cooking--my Tony is the same way! He hates it when I cook bacon, and is a real sassy bunny too!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome, I'm glad to be here! I love reading about everyone's bunnies!!

A couple more photos:

Here's Amelia, hiding from some smell. I don't remember what I was cooking, but she sure didn't like it! I haven't figured out if cooking food smells are scary or just annoying to her.
