Hello, you may call me Jessie.

I'm a 22 year old who has owned a menegarie of animals in the past, currently justown a Senegal Parrot. I just looove bunnies. I do not own any at all because of my current situation. I also am not entirely sure if they are the right pet for me however I do want to adopt a bunny someday in the future.

I owned a bunny when I was 8 or 9 years old, took in a Dwarf lop-eared bunny(whichthere wasn't anything dwarf about her)that had been dropped on someone's doorstep one day. The guy who looked after it for a short time was thinking of putting her down and so my dad and I took her in asap. She had nothing wrong with her at all. I only kept her for a month not realizing the care involved but she was the sweetest rabbit I ever had. I let a friend of mine take her and they spoiled her so much. I miss Katie :(

I'll have to dig up a couple of pics.. these were scanned. I had a guinea pig as well named Zak.

They were best buddies.Anyway, my friend Lestette got me to join this lovely place and I hope to learn lots from all of you and hop over to the photos to get my bunny fix hehe :p

welcome to the forum :) i'm glad that you're wary on getting a rabbit in the future, because it's better to not get one than get onewithout thinking about the responsibility and then not giving them the proper care :) i hope we all can help you with your bunny fix!

katie was a beautiful bun :)

Welcome to RO! Loved the photos of the bun and guinnea pig- SO CUTE! I work at no-kill rescue for buns and we have a bun/guinnea pig that are mated and they are so cute!!! (also have 40 other buns that need to be adopted :()

I also fell in love with Parrots by way of youtube and a couple of indian red neck parrots (forgive me if the title is wrong) but these 2 could understand "speak" and repeat it back when shown a new object ("what is that") and they would make kissing noises when grooming each other - fantastic animals..

Love birds, so happy to see you on RO!

Thank you everyone for the warm welcomes. I want to make sure I know as much as possible about the bunnies before I adopt any in the future. When I'm ready for it of course. But I love them whether it happens or not in the future. I think my favourite breed is the French Lops. :biggrin2:
