I've currently got three awesome rescue rabbits. Latte is a seven year old dwarf that I adopted two months ago. He just goes through life doing his own thing as long as it is right under people feet. I was fostering him indefinitely but, after a scary interview with prospective adopters who knew absolutely nothing about rabbits and really just wanted a toy, I adopted him so I would never have to worry about him again. Fiver is a six month old lop with unlimited energy. He was surrendered two weeks after he was purchased at a pet store because his owner was allergic. What a cute little baby. I couldn't resist. Fiver looks for trouble and thinks the world revolves around him. His favorite pastime is bugging the life out of Dior. One day, she'll probably take a huge bite out of one of his floppy ears. Dior, a beautiful 10 pound angora, was brought in by someone who found her in a cage by a dumpster. She was an adult when she was brought in and I've had her just over a year. No idea how old she is but I hope it's the younger end of adult. She has issues and was not a candidate for adoption except by a long term volunteer with rabbit experience. After much thought, I agreed to adopt her rather than allow her to be put to sleep. She's extremely food aggressive but we work around that. Possessions seem to fall into the food category since you never know what you might be able to eat. I always look around before picking up or touching anything when she's out of her cage. She was extremely cage aggressive when I adopted her but spaying drastically decreased that tendency. I'm so glad I was talked into Dior. Under all her aggression is a rabbit with a heart of gold. She's very in tune with my moods and will sit next to me for however long I need her when I'm having an off day.
