I have a 2 year old neutered male mini lop. He has been eating oxbow bunny basics T pellets for about 4 months now, in addition to endless amount of timothy hay and a daily supply of veggies. He weighs around 6.5 pounds, which I know is supposed to be a healthy weight, but he looks quite plump to me and is starting to develop a dewlap (which I thought males weren't supposed to have?) Is that just normal for a mini lop?

Thanks a bunch!

i pic would really help.

also remember that mini lops do tend to look like a pudgy rabbit in my opinion. they tend to be stockier then other rabbits (and have larger bone and more fur).

he sounds like he is at a good weight.

and some bucks do get a little bit of a dewlap looking thing on them.

I'll try to get a picture (currently dont have a working digital camera). My main concern is the dewlap, i always thought that was for females only :/

and he has pudgy little legs, but they are adorable!

Pictures!

Any thoughts?

he is sooo cute!!!!!!!

and he looks perfect to me, not over or underweight.

and i wouldn't worry about the dewlap, it just happens sometimes
