Hi,
I got an Angora doe who was solidly matted in April, while working on her mats I felt movement, and yup under a week from getting her she delivered a litter. 4 of the 7 survived to 8 weeks. I weaned all 3 and left one with her. The 3 started loosing weight, but were eating, then diarrhea..
I treated with Corid for 5 days, all stopped the diarrhea immediately, all are eating but still I am concerned by their lack of weight gain. Yesterday was the last dose of Corid, can I start 3 days of fenbendazole today?
The one left with mom is huge, fat and has not had any diarrhea, should I treat her with Corid, or just go ahead and give her the fenbendazole wormer too?
Then we have Mom, this weekend I noticed she had a wet dewlap, I found what I believe is an abcess at the corner of her mouth /underjaw.Mom is eating well, active and seems unfazed by this. From past trying to treat a rabbit with an abcess it was months of vet bills and then euthanazia.
So am I looking at euthanasia or have better cures for abcesses come about?
Also what is the best way to clean up the dried matter from tails ?
Thanks
