So the woman I got my bunny from said the babies were boys. Today I decided to check and brought up a webpage to see what I was to look for...my bunny is a girl...her parts are close to together, her vagina :D is right by her rear, lol I know the lady I got her from is a novice, she gets all her info online and this was her very first litter. I would take a picture and post it, but she peed on me after I violated her lol I probably would have too if I was a bunny lol she also peed on me when I was brushing her. Could it be that she was just scared?

I have a question however, she's running around one of my rooms right now and pooping everywhere, lol how would you curb this? Would a litter box be the answer?

Boy bunnys parts are close togeter as well, and the penis is in the same spot as a females vagina. Its not about where the part is, its about what it looks like when you try and pop it out.

As per the pooping, he/she is probably just marking. Litterbox training should help, as would spaying/neutering when the time comes.

Even Pros and Vets have got sexes wrong of bunnies. They are really hard sometimes to figure out.

As Watermelon stated, boys and girls "private parts" are in the same place, but just look a bit different. Boy parts when you look are round (donuts), girl parts look like tacos.

Regarding pooing all over, the bunny is marking. And regarding peeing, the bunny could be young. I've been peed on by my 7 week old while grooming. Not scared, just young.

Have you a Rabbit Savvy Vet in mind when reading for check ups and neutering/spaying? Maybe he/she can figure out what it is. Or another breeder. When my first litter comes, Dr. Joe will probably be the one to violate them and actually show me exactly what they look like "up close and personal".

It looks exactly like the 4 week old doe and the photo above it. My bunny is 7 weeks.

It does happen. Congratulations on your little girl. But if you want to be totally sure, ask a Rabbit Savvy Vet, or another breeder (not the one who you got it from).

Seven Week olds do have accidents. But it does get better. By 9 weeks, not many accidents on me, just around the litter box. They got the idea but not all the way. lol

BTW, my breeder has been sexing kits for some time now, but she still will get a second opinion before selling.

Now I need a new name..lol

I'm going to have to find her a vet. From what I read people prefer males to females because females can get really aggressive? Is this true? Or is it just certain ones. My bunny is also a lionhead.

If you get her spayed (or a boy neutered) the sex shouldn't really matter too much. When they reach puberty does can get cage aggressive and boys can spray, so it's best to get both done!

I think males are easier because their's no baby issues. Females can get aggressive but if you get her spayed, that "nesting" or "false pregnancy" won't occur.

IMHO, all bunnies are individuals. There are nasty males, as well as nasty females. It depends on how well you bond with your bunny. Win her trust.

Love Lion heads. Have two myself. Females are definitely different than Males. She is very forward and fearless. She's such a hoot!

Enjoy your girl. They grow up fast. And if she's to be a pet, I would definitely find a Vet and have her spayed. For females who aren't spayed, cancer can be an issue.

I don't intend on breeding her at all. Too much involved, but I was thinking about showing her for fun. Still researching all that. She does not starle from me, she's really curious and when she was running around the room she came up to my feet sniffed them, and when I sat on the floor with her she came up to me and sniffed me, sniffed my face and hair when I got down to her level. Even groomed herself next to me.

Females can be aggressive towards other rabbits. If you get her spayed this helps. Spaying is good for female rabbits all the way around- it gives them a longer lifespan and lowers the risk for cancer.

My female Holland lop is the sweetest rabbit ever. It just depends on their personalities. It also helps if they're socialized with people from a young age.

I want to point out that while you may think it is a girl, a male's private parts often come out at 12-14 weeks- his testicles "drop". I have a male that I was told was a female. We later named him Houdini for pulling a magic trick and showing us a surprise haha. Unless you're experienced with sexing rabbits- and even then, they can be wrong!- it's hard to tell until they're 12 week old and up.

This is good to know. "She's" only 7 weeks right now, so I guess I'll know for sure at 12 weeks lol She is super friendly, she was socialized with humans from day one. She comes up to me when I feed her, she cuddles when I hold her close, and if she is running around she does not shy away. I give her all the space she wants, but handle her often throughout the day.
