Do you use hay as bedding or food?

Also ive just changed from straw to hay and now the rabbits does his toilet stuff in his bed thats now hay is there a reasson for this?

That is natural. We have hay racks for eating hay and we use hay in their little boxes. I use hay as bedding for both my wild rabbits and squirrels in rehab (squirrels can make some complex nests with hay). And hay should be the primary food for a rabbit. We have rabbits that eat only hay. We feed very limited pellets as they contain far too much protein and other "junk". The only benefit from feeding high quality (and I mean high quality) pellets is to get components of the diet that most domestic rabbits don't get since they are fed a man made diet.....Vitamin D is a primary vitamin that most species (including humans) are deficient in.
