What is my rabbit doing? I will put fresh hay down and he will walk all over it and rearrange it and then climb off of it and eat. Sometimes after he stomps through it he will go away for a while and then he will come back and eat it....He isn't pooing in it or urinating in it that I can tell. He mostly leaves the hay where it is rather than dragging it else where for a nest.

He may be trying to dig around to find the best pieces.

Ellie loves to sleep in her hay and Foo loved to lay down and eat hay. They tend to walk on the hay, because they don't really care. Hell, they eat their own poop. They're not like people where their food can't touch the floor or their own feet, they don't care! hahaha.
I'm sure he's just being a bunny. He probably wouldn't drag it off to make a nest anyway, since he's a boy, lol.

And what Jenny said, he's just trying to find the best pieces. They like to forage around to find the good stuff. Ellie does it all the time. What all looks the same to me, is totally different to her and she knows where the good stuff is!

I put their hay directly in the litterbox. They always stand all over it while they eat. I refresh it a couple times a day so they always have fresh stuff on top.

I also just put hay in the litterbox. He has a side that has more bedding and is bare and a side with less bedding and I put his hay on that side for him to eat.
