I'm only doing this out of desperation...I got the rabbits back in June and since then I've had endless trouble, both with them and with many other things in life. I simply can't take care of them anymore, and to be honest, I don't want them. They've caused a lot of stress because the house we managed to move into has paper-thin walls, and they are up kicking and gnawing at everything until four or five in the morning. I haven't gotten a good sleep in months. I'd love to put them in the garage every night, but it's cold out there and space heaters, good ones, are expensive. We were told they would be dwarfs at the petstore when we first purchased them, but they are both easily nine or ten pounds and are very big. We have them in the biggest cages petstores can sell, and the cages are still way too small. They are healthy- they're kept on the Oxbow hay and pellet diet, with plenty of fresh greens- but not neutered, and aren't bonded. Toby is sweet, never nips, and enjoys having his ears petted. I've considered having Bally put down several times because despite being brought up in the same environment and with the same care as Toby, he's cage and food aggressive and my arms are peppered with scars from either being clawed or bitten.

They grew up to both be very handsome, active, healthy rabbits, but I don't have the time, energy, or patience any more. I've had to replace two laptop cords and the TV. I work 7-5 every day, and don't have the four to six hours a day open that they would require to run around in. Now my grandmother is coming here for her final few months of life, and they can't be here when she is. I'm not the proper owner for these rabbits, and need to find someone who is.

I'll send pictures to anyone who wants them. They are not neutered, but if someone was seriously interested apart from that fact, I'd possibly be able to scrounge up enough money to neuter them in a few weeks time.

I might be able to take Toby if he would be coming with at least his cage. I have a male lionhead/lop mix and already have tons of hay and food here for him so another rabbit wouldn't be much of a change. Do you have any pics of him? How old is he?

Sorry to not get back to you sooner- they're both about seven months old. I'll PM you some pictures later on today. He's a broken orange.

This really is a last resort for us and we're currently scrambling to try and figure out if we could move them to Mitchell's house (we initially got them for him anyway). He would be able to take good care of them and isn't bothered by their noisy bunny binkys in the middle of the night. I really would prefer to keep them since, if nothing else, we've invested so much into them already...I really appreciate you offering to possibly take Toby, though. We should know in the next two or three days if we can move them or not.

Here's a picture of Toby. Bally is a magpie harlequin.
