I am quite excited about one little doe in Pearl's recent litter. She is a lovely light Siamese Smoke and although she is by far the largest she doesn't appear to be a BUD (please correct me if I'm wrong)
All three of them boy, girl, girl (left to right)

What are their strengths and faults? I'd appreciate any advice.:)

My advice? They're all non-showable - ship them to me....

Seriously - I don't know how to judge them - but they are cute...

Type wise I like third the best...maybe just because hes posed a bit better. Love his body and his head...not so crazy on the ears. The light smoke girl has a lovely head on her as well.

4 weeks is a little too early to tell. By 12 weeks the non-dwarfs will be very obvious, but they all look good at 4 weeks.

The third one is the buck and he was very obliging getting into pose:) Unfortunately I can only keep a girl from this litter so it's a toss up between the light and the dark girl. I am almost certain I keep the light one unless I can spot some serious fault.

The only thing I'd dare comment on that this point is head and ears. They all look very much the same in type, so it is hard to tell at this point which ones are better and which ones are worse. Wait a while until they get a few weeks older and it will be obvious to you which one you want to keep.

They all have pretty nice heads, though just from the pictures it looks like the light smoke doe's is the best, but it also depends on the width of the head which we can't see. The ear placement on all of them is a little far back on the head.

Best of luck with them and try waiting a bit to see how they develop more.

Thanks for all the input. I do hope the little light smoke doe will turn out the best as she has the sweetest disposition too:)

They can change slitky change color and eye color when they are still younge, i would wait until they are 5-8 weeks to pick the best one.

At this point I wouldn't do any picking or choosing as they can drastically change from now to when there 8 weeks. Based on heads (I find heads in my ND's are pretty much the same as they are after uglies at this point) I like the dark smoke doe's the best t. As her ears are closest to where they should be and she carries them well but the lighter doe does have better shaped ears.
