I bought a training litter box for Gracie todayand it came with a litter scoop and a product called critter litter...it is little white and blue balls. If anyone has used thiscan you give me your opinion. Gracie thinks it is a blastwhipping them out of the box!

LOL I used to use a similar product for myferrets , they used to have a blast with them i think the littleboogers just liked the noise they are supposed to be non toxic so Idont see why you couldnt use them , but keep a check on their littlenoses them little pearls can be inhaled up the nose , had a ferret dothat what a yuckie mess getting it out ,

Make sure it is biodegradable and non-clumping. It it not, it is highly dangerous to your bun on either count. If not biodegradable, it may be poisonous, and if is clumping, the bun might eat it andcause GI Stasis.

There are too many safe litters out there to use any one that is unsafe. The buns cannot choose for themselves and rely upon us to make the right choices.

The packaging says it is safe for smallanimals... now if she would use it to pee in I would know if it clumpslol. I will keep an eye on her to see how it goes

I remembered the name of the product i used itscalled Ultra Pearls , Its highly effective to keep odor away especiallywith ferrets , but like i said be carefull they dont snuff it up theirnoses .
It doesnt clump like the ither stuff but the little beads will turnyellow , all you have to so is scoop out the dirty stuff and add alittle to it and your good to go again .

I used critter litter for about a week. Seemedokay to me but I switched to Ultra Fresh because I buy that stuff inhuge quanities! :)

While we're on the topic, anyone heard of"Environment Fresh" by Kaytee? It seems to puff up. The back says itsenvironmental friendly. Do I use with Don Cheeto?

hM I have neverheard of that brand before b utwill do a web search after worktoday and see what I can find, working at ourLocal Agway I will also inquirethere as well and will let youknow.

I do know Kaytee just cameout with a product calledTimothy Complete , Small 5 pound bag6.00 here , I checkedthe ingredients and its mostlyall Timothy but there is a lotof preservatives like mostother brands , I will list theingredients later im in a rushto get to the storeand order my new Equipment.

Thank you, Gypsy!

I failed to mention Environment Fresh is some funky litter. Itsodorless, doesn't appear to have color added. It almost looks like aclumpy dried cake mix and then, when its wet, it looks like odd shapedpuffed wheat.

I've got Don Cheeto using it - but I dunno... and you all know how new I am!

I used to use Critter Litter and it was veryexpensive. The pet store gave it to me saying it was safe foranimals but then I began to worry because when my bun peed in it.. itlooked like it clumped together a little and turned yellow.Pepper really liked it though but I still wasn't sure if it wassafe. Then I bought Woody Pet which was recommended by manyon the forum and now she won't even go in her litter box.. I don't knowwhat to do.

I bought one of those kits, therabbit ate more of it than she used it, so I stoped using it. I found areally good litter, but unfortuantly I have to get some more today andI already threw away the bag so I don't rememer the name. It wasgreat... I have to say the odor absorber is the biggest perk.

I'm in the process of trying to find a newlitter. I currently use Critter Litter. It works great for odorcontrol, but its really expensive (it costs almost $7 a bag and onlyfills his litter pan twice)and gross come clean up time. Itlike melts down into this mushy goopy stuff when peed on. Oh dont getit in your drain it clogs it up.....the goopy stuff sticks the litterpanso i cleaned out what wouldnt scoop outin myutility sink..o boy thatcost a few bottles of draino! AndI've seen nothing but rave reviews about this Woody Pet stuff so I wentto the website to see where I can buy it....so my question is, is WoodyPet worth an almost 40 minute drive?

Yes, then buy 10 bags of it and you're stocked up for a year or more, if you only replaced "expended" litter.

Remember, we are all using Wood Pet Professional Animal Bedding that comes in 30 lb packages @ $5.26 per package. I do not know what their 15 lb animal litter package sells for, but suspect it is the same product in smaller package for higher price.:bunnydance:
