Happy Thanksgiving to all in Canada!

I know it's Monday but I figure most folks start celebrating early.

Thanks Ann. My wife is making turkey for tonight, and then we are all going over to her sisters place for supper tonight. My son drove to Calgary with my Odyssey to shop for a new car, and hopefully he will be back in time for supper.

Then we will go to my brothers place on Monday for Thanksgiving supper where my parents and family will be together.

I'm going to be one stuffed turkey when this long weekend is over. :biggrin2:

Hey Stan I know what you mean about being stuffed.

Tomorrow we're going to friends for dinner we're having Cornish Hens with all the trimmins.

Monday I'm doing the Turkey, meat stuffing, mashed potatoes, mashed carrots and turnips YUM YUM, Cesar salad, and a cheese cake for dessert (sp? not sure if it's one s or 2). Gosh I'm already stuffed just thinking about it.

Hey Stan I thought your son got a new car not that long ago. Wasn't it a Honda? I know the Oddesy is a Honda but for some reason I thought he got an Accord or Civic, or was I dreamin. LOL

Happy Thanksgiving Canadians!! :Canada small:

SOOOSKA- You have dessert spelled right. When I was a kid my teacher taught us the difference between desert & dessert by telling us "Do you want 1 or 2 desserts? Dessert=2 s. I don't know why, but that's always stuck with me :)

Yes he did. About a year ago, he bought a brand new Civic, but sold it in the spring because he didn't like it. He flew to California,to buy an Infinity GS and drove it back to Canada. In August, he left his car ata bar and went home with a friend (he didn't drink and drive), and the car was stolen. It was totaled when the police found it in the morning.

This is the car that was stolen (front). The other car in the background, is a right hand drive, that he imported from Japan a few years ago.He didn't buy a car in Calgary today, but he is going to fly to Vancouver tomorrow morning to look at another car.

Happy thanks giving!

Just wanted to post, thought it was odd that the car in the pic you posted Stan, that's a Nissan Skyline here. Interesting.

The BF and I would LOVE to have a Nissan Skyline!!!! They are illegal here unless you make the modifications to them to make them street legal, and that makes them about $90,000 here. They are AWESOME cars.

Thanks for the thanksgiving wishes everyone! I will be having Thanksgiving dinner today at my sister's (she has her children today and her ex has them tomorrow, so she's having an early celebration). Being semi-vegetarian (still eat fish on occasion) I won't be having turkey, but I'll still stuff myself with lots of good veggies. And dessert. :biggrin2:

It feels too early for Thanksgiving though, doesn't it? ;)

Even though I don't live in Canada any more my family still celebrates it. We are having a big thatnksgiving feast tonight but instead of turkey we are having rotiserre chicken since my mom said she didn't feel like actually cooking a turkey (she doesn't like cooking very much!:p) I am going to make a little salad with craisins for the bunnies! Happy Thanksgiving!

Aly!:)

Aaauuuuggghhh! I feel so round and pudgy, like a big fat turkey!

Well, I have been fed the traditional thankgiving turkey, cranberries, turnips, stuffing, salads and pies and butter-tarts at Nate's house... Played bocce ball and croquet!

At my house we had...
Samosas, hamburgers, pancakes, King Crab legs with lots of butter, lamb and mint jelly, corn, potatoes, cheesecake and pie!
My parents didn't go in for the duck with black current/orange sauce as usual. Instead, we spent today at church, then kayaking.

Kanika (Nate's daughter) got a new little brother today! We got her a selection of gifts to bring to her new little bro...

Hope everyone else up here in the North is enjoying their Thanksgiving too!

I am so stuffed, I don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight.:D Had the traditional turkey with all the trimmings, ham, ect. Plus Ukrainian and Japanese foods. It was the deserts that killed me. :p

My son isdriving his new car (Acura Integra Type R) home from Vancouver.

I love turkey. I could eat it all the time. :D

Some times we will have turkey or we will have prime rib for Christmas, other times we might go out to eat.

Wow. Here you can go out to eat but only a small amount of restaurants will be open. I think its about £50 to book a meal on Christmas day too. So much easier to stay at home!
