Enjoy it while it lasts because it only gets shorter from here!

So, what are you guys planning for the summer season?

I have a little sister who I'm going to be taking on a bunch of different "adventures" (going downtown and whatnot)

I'm getting my yard fenced in once the wet weather clears up (it rains a lot and tends to flood here) and I have all kinds of plans for how I'll actually get the yard planted and set for use.

There is no telling how much I'll get done this year but I love planning and getting ideas.

Friday morning on my way home from work I stopped at a garage sale. I LOVE going to them and hope to go to many this year... and trips to the flea market.

Wow - first day of summer and we actually might NOT hit 100! WOO HOO.

That will be such a nice break....we're only supposed to hit 97. Out of the last 10 days - we've been between 97 and 103 for our highs and 75-78 for our lows...

Peg, that's great! Maybe you'll get a little breather from the 100° mark. It's truly amazing what a few degrees can feel in difference. I'll bathe horses in 75° weather but not lower.

We've had really beautiful weather lately but the bugs have been really bad. With all this poison ivy down my legs, I get irritated pretty quick...

Today the kids are cleaning SIL's horse trailer. I'll lunge Pokie and see how she's doing.... and probably lunge Dakota and Lexi might ride him a bit.

I hate not going outside but my house is just a mess and I have a mountain of laundry...... *sigh*

My house is a mess to Bo... but my barn is spotless! LOL. Same here too - the bugs are terrible. Deer flies, black flies, mosquitoes.... GRR.

I'm getting a load of hay today, painting my barn, and cleaning. This summer hopefully we'll get acouple shortcamping trips in, I love camping, but we are limited in what we can do this year because of other things. Usually we travel a lot in the summer, but we've got to stay home this year to pay for last years trip and next years :pand finish our house.

Summer....the warmth sounds good at the moment.....here i am all snuggy and warm with my heater going and listening tothe rain pouring outside.

Too funny! The room that I do first IN the house is the bunny room and we always go take care of the horses and their stalls! LOL!

AND - I'm looking for some small round bales of hay as I type! we're on the same schedule!

It's the longest day of the year and also (what seems like) the wettest. Oh I do love English weather.:rollseyesWhat happened to the lovely warm andsunny weather we had a little while ago?!:grumpy:

:yeahthat:

I got a tan from sitting in the park too long a few months ago, it was so hot i thought i was going to melt. Now its June and i'm walking around happily in jeans and a cardigan. It just keeps raining. But then what would the english summer be without a bit of rain? I don't think a BBQ is complete until we all have to run indoors and end up cooking food in the oven.

Fran :) :hearts :brownbunny

i hate florida summers! good for a vist, yes. good for living(through all five months of it), NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i've gotta go clean Jamie's cage-outside:grumpy:!

ok, i'm done now:biggrin2:!

happy summer people(but i'll be happier about fall!)

We may hit 27C/80F, the warmest and bestday for us so far. However the weatherman is calling for rain tomorrow during our BBQ. If it rains, less people will come out to our BBQ, so I will get extra steaks to bring home. ;)

It's been 110 plus here for the past week, today is the first day it's cooled down to a high of maybe 105.
This is strange weather for this time of year too.
Luckily it should cool off for next weekend (my 18th birthday party, my birthday is on Thursday)

I thought you guys might be feeling a little hot, so I got some nice refreshing hail for you off the back lawn :p.
