  • 3.5 millionattending

  • A realTexas-sized festival!
One of America's truly greatfestivals, Fiesta® San Antonio takes place every April to honor thememory of the heroes of the Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto and tocelebrate San Antonio's rich and diverse cultures. This year marks thecelebration's 116th anniversary.

In 1891, a group of ladies decorated horse-drawn carriages, paraded infront of the Alamo, and pelted each other with flower blossoms. Theparade was organized to honor the heroes from the battles of the Alamoand San Jacinto. That original Battle of Flowers parade became anannual event and has grown into a multi-cultural community celebrationunlike any other in our country. From its small beginnings, Fiesta SanAntonio has grown into an elaborate 10-day celebration featuring morethan 100 events, including a parade where floats really float down theSan Antonio River.

Rosie! You're here in spirit!
