Today is my little Neddo's second birthday. We don't actually know how old he is, or when his birthday is, but this is the day that I decided would be his birthday. We have had him for a year and a week now, and I can't imagine having my little Doodlebug. He is such a cutie pie and such a joy! Anyone would be lucky to have a funny bunny like Ned. Later tonight I'm going to make some mini cheesecakes in honor of his birthday, and he's going to get a great big salad. I will take a few pictures and post them later!

I got cute Neddie photos! Just gotta edit them and upload them :D He had a great birthday- lots of carrots and salad, and he got to go outside to play for the first time this summer, AND best of all (to him)... I gave him a tiny taste of cheesecake with strawberry sauce on top. I promise I don't normally feed my bunnies junk food like that, he just got a little bit but ate the whole thing in one bite and then licked the spot where it had been for about 15 minutes. Oh and when we were outside, I was messing with my camera, looked down and he was drinking BEER out of my glass! He seems to be fine though. It was a good birthday indeed.

Okay, here are the Neddo birthday photos! I took a ton outside, but only two turned out decently because it was getting dark:

We rent and the landlords are terrible about mowing the lawn. The bunnies like it though because there's lots of dandelion greens and grass to eat! Ned is actually somewhere there in the dandelion forest...

Neddie's birthday cheesecake. At first he didn't know what was going on, but as soon as he saw that cheesecake he attacked! I only had it in front of him for about 5 seconds because he was eating so fast and I didn't want him to have too much.

When I saw the name Ned in the title I hoped it was that Ned! Haven't seen/heard much about him lately...

I went back and looked at one of the threads about naming him, at the time I hadn't seen pushing daisies but I have just recently watched all of season one. Great name choice, even more so now that I know Ned haha if that makes sense.

So glad he is still doing well and being very spoilt at your place :)

Crystal and Claire, I'm glad you liked the pictures! I will be sure to take the camera with me next time we go outside. I really want to get to know my camera more and practicing on the bun buns with nice, natural light will be the perfect opportunity.

Crystal, I love Ned's name too. It fits him perfectly. I can't imagine him being named anything else... his name was Paxden for a couple of days (and before that, he was named Vinny by the girl who had him for a week, and before THAT Giovanni by the animal shelter, and before that who knows?), but Ned is way better. Rory's name was Belvedere of all things before we got him from the animal shelter, but Rory (or Rhiordan, which is what it's short for) is definitely his name and the only thing I can see fitting him.

I actually remember when he was Paxden, for that short time... I was pretty new here at the time.

I do not understand who would decide to call him Giovanni... but I can see why someone would go from Giovanni to Vinny. Ned is definitely best, I agree.

If Ned and Phoebe Mae become bonded, Phoebe Mae might have to have an extra nick name of Chuck :wink

Happy belated birthday, Ned!!
I love your dandelion forest, my lawn is so crappy and sparse, lol. And how late were you outside if it was getting dark? I pretty much completely miss the darkness now, I can't stay up as late as the sun, lol.

Happy super-belated birthday, Ned! :) I hope that he enjoyed his frolic in the dandelion forest (looks like bunny paradise to me)! :) The cheesecake pics are just adorable!

Hehe, thanks for looking, Kelly and Jan! And the little cheesecakes were good- as you can see, I made them in a muffin tin. They're topped with some homemade strawberry freezer jam that I made last month. Yum!
