I just noticed my English Lop has a new HUGE bald spot covering part of her chest, front of arm, up into neck and shoulder blade. there is literally almost no hair there just a little bit of peach fuzz but i can clearly notice this bald spot from far away. the only thing that has changed in her diet is she has been getting more hay, more lettuce and i believe she's had some apples but none as of too recently. (just pieces.) i don't know if i should be worried or not. I had another bunny with abscesses who recently passed away:( and another bunny who didn't seem to be absorbing enough nutrition from her food and also ended up in the vets office. I'm starting to get worried. They are all on Martins less active bunny food. Am i missing something? This bunny (hair loss one) is named Penelope, she is mommas little girl but likes to get into trouble and sneak around and get out of her cage, i wouldn't be surprised if she got out when i wasn't home, usually she just sits on top. Anyways, any advice?
sometimes she sheds a lot but right now i haven't noticed any clumps of hair in her cage nor did i last time i cleaned it. thank you(L)

Hmm. I haven't noticed anything similar on my English Lop ever...

Do you think she's just molting? When my standard rex used to molt he would have bald patches everywhere for a few weeks.

Check the bald spots carefully to rule out any mites or mange. If the skin looks clean and it's just bald, then I think it's just molting.

That sounds interesting I have never seen that on any of my bunnies before.
It does sound like molting like Samara said and if it is that is common
but just in case-
Check for flees and ticks and that kind of stuff in the area that the hair is gone. Make sure everything else is normal shes pooping and peeing like normal and shes eating.
pictures?
good luck:)

i checked for fleas, ticks, or any skin irritation and nope, its just bald.
i'll go over her again today.
I really hope its just the molting like you said.
I've never seen a balding bunny:p
