So I have plain boring black hair..I went back to it because I wanted to take a break from dying..but honestly I can't handle it. I have had it for 5 months so I feel like I can change it.

My question is...do I go back to red or do something different?

Red is the easiest..I don't have to go to a professional to do it, it is really low matnience, ect ect

Me with red hair:

Or I thought about doing something similar to this:

But it would take a real long time, be really high matnience, and I would have to go to a pro.

Any ideas/suggestions?

i do like the style of the blue and red:) im digressing tho' - you asked about colour - sorry! the red suits you - you have such a striking face that suits the colour and the cut.:)

I always have said when I go completely white...I'm going to go purple :) ...Looking at my hair these days...it's not that far away! LOL

Hehe Minda I always tell people I am going to be 80 with bright orange hair :)

I think I am going to go for the red too..as it is waaay easier to do, and ESP to maintain.

Thanks everyone! :)

I really like the red hair :) I used to dye mine ared violet color and it always faded fairly quick(even when I had it done professionally) How do you get yours to stay?

I use this loreal Hi-Light Coloring for Dark Hair only..I buy it at Sally's Beauty Supply and you have to mix it yourself..

When I first dyed my hair from blue on top, black on bottom, the red was like a burgendy (It was pro done..not the same dye)

Then using this dye, my hair got lighter and lighter red..even on my black until my black turned bright red.

I only had to dye it every 5-6 weeks too..and it looked great faded.

Your hair dyed that bright red over your dark hair or did you bleach/lighten it first?

No bleach was used. But it took a couple of applications to get that bright..but not very much.

The hairdye itself has a lightner in it..but it so safe and gentle to use all the time.
