This guy has been in love with me for like...two years.

And he won't stop bothering me about going out with him!

How can you make him stoppp?

It's driving me nuts, and time, ignoring him, and everything else doesn't seem to help!

Um honey, it is called obsession. I have been there.

I met this guy at Giant Eagles grocery store where I got my job at. Nice guy, decent looking. Never stopped looking at me. Finally a monty later working there he asked me out on a date. I thought what the heck.

It was the most embarrassing date ever, but he was such a sweetie. I found out about a year through a good friend that he is so in love with me that he wants me to be his girlfriend and wife. lol Yeah, well I did not like him like that. I liked him as a friend. I told him Joe I don't like you like that, I just want to be friends you are too goody goody to me. You never say no, always get something that I wanted for me and such. He got married a year before I did. Well 2 yrs ago he said I love you, well he said as a friend. But my husband did not like that, he knew I was married and stuff and he was married too.

i stopped talking to him, lost contact for 2 yrs. He got ahold of me via email. Back again well he finally realized that I ain't budgin. You may have to be rude to him and stuff like that.

He told me that he wished that we both never got married. I told him Joe it ain't like that. He said well I thought you did not like me at all. I said news flash you moved too slow, also that date was horrible. he said I was nervous. Not him, OMG I have been to first dates but not like this one. He tripped over a bench in the mall that you could not miss, then he dripps pizza sauce on his white hockey shirt, then he tripped over a rock while walking to the movies, then his nose started bleeding at the theater when we got there, then my mom had to drive him home cause his mom could not pick him up. Yeah embarrassing.

This guy has been inlove with me for 10 yrs and still going. lol

Ugh, Montana, I have been there. It is so unpleasant. Gettin attention from someone you don't want attention from just makes you feel icky, it isn't at all flattering. Have you flat out told him you aren't interested? If you think it would be easier for you to convince him in writing, sit down and write him a long letter explaining that you're truly not interested in him. Of course, don't say it's because he has big teeth or smells bad or whatever, just say you are not at all interested and don't see that changing at any time in the future.

Good luck!

Be direct but careful...not all people take rejection with a grain of salt...
Be cautious about being alone with someone and having that conversation..I would personally say try to keep it in email, phone or make sure you are in public!

Not that long ago I told some one ..nothing was going to happen and when they really took me at my words, even though I had said it a hundred times, it finaly sunk in and.....I ended up with a knife agaisnt my throat...so PLEASE be careful!!

In the end I was fine..wasn't cut or anything, but it was a scary thing to go through.

Good luck..

In the eighth grade, this guy was so in love with me, that he attempted to move into the tree next to my bedroom. Creepy? VERY.

After awhile, and after several talks with him about how I would rather us be friends and nothing more as I do not like him at all in that way - he wouldn't stop, and continued as if I hadn't said a word.

I eventually had to be rude to him. It stopped him from directly bothering me, but he continued to lolly gag over me until highschool graduation =T

When I was in high school I faced that problem. It turned into harassment and it followed me into college. Not trying to scare you, but wanting you to shake this guy off. I hate when guys can't be respectful :grumpy:Hope he gets the hint and soon

I agree, thankfully this guy I know was not that bad. But there are guys or ladies out there that are scary and just don't know it.

Shake him off soon or maybe talk to someone to talk to him or something.

i would also be direct, but carefull!

i once went out with this guy and ending up having nothing in common. i found him rude, and not a guy i would like to date (but that doesn't mean he would be perfect for someone else, we just didn't hit it off). i would say i love animals, he said he wasn't a 'pet person'. i would like outdoors, he would rather be inside. he was a completely city kid, and i am well, a farm girl.

anyway, i made the mistake of not being right there saying i don't think this will work. i just tried to ignore him. he called me 16 times within 24 hours. finally he got the hint and stopped. about a month later i bumped into him at the store. he called me a list of filthy names to the point a older guy came up (after hearing) and said "hi, is there something wrong with my daughter?" that shut the guy right up and he left. i haven't seen him since.

if i could have gone back and done it differently, i would have flat out told him that he wasa really nice guy, but not ment for me. i just didn't think we had enough in common to date or anything else.

Kinda relevant to the story, but not really helpful to you, I had a stalker. A guy I dated, and dumped because he was all *city*, and I was Wranglers and ropers and said ain't and threw my hair up in ponytails and ran off to where I needed to go. The guy spent so much time cutting me down about me not being *city*, when my *country* self was exactly what attracted him to me in the first place, he said he found me refreshing. So ANYWAY, I dumped Dan.. and did I mention he was all of 6 ft 9 and built like a brick outhouse? I mention size, because yanno it's quite a different matter to have a normal sized man stalking you.. you can always run from him or pick something up and beat him with it. With Dan.. he was like one of those giant AT-AT things from Star Wars.. for every 5 steps of mine, it was like one for him.. so out running him wasn't an option, and he was strong, so me overpowering him wasn't bloody likely either..

So what did I do to him to get him to leave me alone? My ex husband at the time was an INS agent, who knew people, who knew people, who knew FBI agents. So I had to chain of command get a favor done, had an agent visit him at work, flash a badge... total malfeasance of office.. but we havn't heard from Dan in almost 6 years..and I even got an apology letter from him asking for me to forgive him..

I always was DYIN' to know what they said to him..

Thanks for everyones replies. I guess this is a normal kind of thing.

Anyways, I've told him straight up a million times I'm not interested...maybe one day he'll listen. :?

I've had problems with this too. I try to be polite first "I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in you like that" and slowly increase in rudeness to the point where I yell at people to get away from me. Usually they'll get the message at one point, if they don't talk to your parents or the counselor at your school and have them talk to him.

I agree with Amy, boys are poop heads.
