I know they're not bunnies... but this cavy is just soooo cute, and I think many of you folks have knowledge of them, too.

Any general advice or things I should be especially concerned with? I gave him some of the bun bun's hay and he LOVES it. :) he likes their timothy pellets better than his crazy looking food, too. Doesn't like raisins. He's so cute. :) He gets along with the buns pretty well, too. Maybe because he's 1/4 of their size.

guineapigcages.com is a very informative site also Guinealynx.com is an excellent site for medical, behavioral, and other information.

Guinea pigs are like rabbits in alot of ways they can eat much of the same veggies that the rabbits eat, romaine lettuce, you want to limit the parsley, they can have green peppers, basil , carrots limited, these are just a few things you can feed them. THey too should have unlimited hay, just like our buns, and you should feed vitamin c enriched Guinea Pig food (limited), you should not let the piggie eat the bunny food. You dont need Vitamin c drops for the water becuase it spoils the water and they tend not to drink the water and the vitamins break down in the water anyway. You can use fleece as a bedding instead of the traditional bedding, and they can have NIC cages too.

I just got done guinea pig sitting for about 6 weeks. It was fun. I read that they shouldn't eat the same pellets as rabbits because they are formulate differently. Guinea pigs need vitamin c in theirs. The link above was a great resource for me. I joined and asked all my guinea pig questions. They also have a library that gives lists of what they can/should eat. Have fun!:)
