Here are some pictures I snapped yesterday of my pigs and the ones I'm petsitting, I think they came out pretty good :)

Well my piggies are in a really large cage that I bought from a pet shop and the pigs I'm minding are in a large pen, it doesn't have a top or anything it is like an exercise pen

Well they get out everyday to run around in a safe room, plus I don't agree with that. In an ideal world all guinea pigs would have that much space but they don't and it doesn't mean they are unhappy ;) Mine are in a 4x3 ft cage, I would not have them in anything less but they are not unhappy at all. I'd love to have them in a bigger space but it is not possible and I don't feel bad about it either ;)

Ahh, Grace we all know you provide the best homes for any animal in your care, And if you didn't why would so many people come to you to mind there animals while they are away, There is alot of trust involved for someone to let you mind there beloved pets!

:lookaround
Hmmm well I certainly don't mean to start an argument or anything but, piggies honestly NEED space.
They run laps, and unless they have enough room for it they don't live the life they should.
And when I say 7.5 I mean a bare minimum of 7.5.
The whole reason I don't own any pigs is my lack of room, I won't get one unless it has the space it requires.

Yep and they get to run around for at least 3 hours a day ;)

Most of the time they are out they don't even run around they just come to me looking for treats and shuffle around for awhile. They do lot's of popcorning around both outside and inside their cage. Thanks for your opinion, but I have looked at the site before, as much as I would love to have my guinea pigs in a guinea pig mansion, I don't. One of the reasons is because the items needed to build those fantastic cages cannot be purchased in Ireland.

Lot's of people have different opinions on how guinea pigs should be kept, I've done tons of research and am pretty set in my own opinions ;) I can tell my pigs enjoy their life, and I'm happy with the care I give them.

I think we will have to agree to disagree here and move on ;)

Aww they are all very sweet. Being a pet sitter I get the pleasure of taking care of small animals and since I had them all except ratties I have the experience of how to take good care of them and my fav are the GP's. So you must be doing something right for this person to have you take care of her cute GP's.

Thanks!
Their Mammy is very picky with how their cared for, the first few times she would pick them up and hold them in her hands for a few seconds to make sure they hadn't lost any weight! She always seems happy, I've been minding these guys for over a year now, this is I think their 5th time staying here. :) Being a pet sitter is great isn't it? You get to meet other real small animal lovers! :)

I love it! I've worked for Corporations the Police Dept and this by far is the best job I've ever had. Now I own my business so I don't have to deal with terrible bosses and nasty co-worker's.

If your good with someone's pets word gets out especially taking care of small pets. Many pet sitter's in my area will not take on small pets only cats & dogs. People know right away how you are with any kind of pet. On one interview his Lab came over to me, I've had Labs, and he immediately took to me and did the leaning thing and Jason said to me that, 'you must have that where all animals love you' I thought that was one of the greatest compliments I ever got so then I got the job, hehe.

Well have fun with your piggies and if you do this on the side it's a great gig.

Yeah it's the same here with pratically every place only taking in cats and dogs, there are only about two places that take small animals, me and another place that just does guinea pigs. So I get some really commited owners traveling a few hours to get their pets to me. I really enjoy it. Except the time when I got a really nasty rabbit lol!

HAHA you get those too? I had to wear ski gloves to get this bunny out of cage so he can run around while I cleaned it. He wouldn't get out with treats, sweet talk or just leaving the door open. He got me a few times to find out he passed at only 6 mos old very sad.

Haha yeah I got a pretty bad one last Summer. He was fine for the first day or so, then it got bad. The first time he bit me was when I was reaching in for his food bowl, he got me really bad too. After that he would chase me when he was outside of his cage and bit at my ankles like a dog! One time I went out of the room he was playing in and he wouldn't let me back in, I got to get a brush to block him and nudge him away from me :D

Then when his owners came to collect him I told them he had gotten a little aggresive, and told the little kids to be careful incase he would bite them. Of course as soons as they reached in he let them pet him and pick him up and cuddled into their arms. I'm pretty sure they thought I made it up! :D

That was funny! I had a NZ attack me when I bent down to say hello she grunted and lunged at me almost getting me. She had her own room so I would give her the veggies to occupy her while I cleaned up. Boy that scared the heck out of me and people laugh at me when I tell them I've been attacked by a BUNNY!

I had a cat that wasn't very friendly and would hang out in the basement where the litterbox was. He had beds down there and it was very clean and neat. One day he was on the stairs and he wouldn't let me go up hissing and clawing at me. I couldn't believe I was being held up by an attack kitty. I grabbed the broom and put it against my legs as I went up the stairs. Well I had to go back down with food and water. I managed but I told the owner about what was going on with her cat. Come to find out a few months later Sammy passed to find out he had a brain tumor. I've heard about cats attacking their owner's to find out they've had a brain tumor.
