Heya

I have a 9 week old dwarf lopXlion head male called pumpkin.
I have had him only a week now and the last week he's been an angel very socialable fun and cheeky but today I came home he's been throwing his food bowl across his cage and grunt and bit ,e which he has never done before

Have I been smothering him too much? Is this just a tantrum as it started after his play time in the house, his grunt was very loud but after he became very submissive and licking my hand lots

Please help!!!!!!!

Pumpkin is just settling in. And everybunny has a bad day from time to time. I assume when you said he bit you mean a nip that didn't break your skin. It's just a sign of impatience about something. Next time it happens, yell ouch so he'll know he shouldn't do it.

In a couple months when he starts getting more assertive again, that will be his hormones, indicating it's time he were fixed. Some don't change their behavior at that time, but most do.

Its the "Getting To Know Each Other Faze".. Look at him like a toddler and check your own behavior to see if your upsetting him.. Humans are very lacking in the bun mind. lol..

You'll find that there is a "language" you need to learn to talk to your bun - and its alot of fun once you firgure it out. It's all on you.

Enjoy it and good luck.

PS: post how it goes, will help others and yourself when you look back on this time.
