Hi All!

As many of you know, I've been looking for some serious help with tech expertise and more, and I'm happy to announce that the team from Group Builder have stepped into a serious role at RabbitsOnline.net.

They approached me some weeks ago, and after much discussion, Group Builder has installed their platform on our site and will be heading up the technical administration.

This means the guys at Group Builder will be handling all technical issues regarding software and keeping the community online. Both Keith and Austin are animal lovers (they already operate sites for goats, chickens and homesteaders), and I would expect them to make their way into the community as well, getting to know you all and learning more about rabbits.

The forum content and policies WILL NOT CHANGE.

I will continue on as I have, but I will be allowing them control. There may be a few bumps and glitches in the first few days, but it will be worth it.
This will allow us to make many of the hoped-for features on rabbitsonline.net finally possible, and it will allow me to spend more time developing my Rabbitats rescue model and incorporating it into RO.

Yes, there will be advertising, but it's the way of the world these days. I think it's a good price to pay for great new software and a great hands-on tech team.

If you have any questions on using the new software please let the guys know and they will get them answered.

Thanks!

sas (aka Sorelle)

Um, how do we follow posts so that when replies are posted, they go straight to our emails? Also, how do we know if a comment has been posted to a thread? With the old software, it had a little green arrow to indicate.

Sorelle I very much appreciate the welcome.

We are happy to be here. He's going under the user name ForumTech so some of you may have already been in contact with him.

I know some of the changes will take some getting used to, but given time it will become second nature. I hope you all like it, the reaction so far has been very positive.

If you ever have any questions about the software please feel free to post them to this section or send me a private message. Somethings may not be working properly, if that's the case please let me know and we will get it fixed.

To follow up on what Sorelle said their will be no policy changes. The rules that were in place last week will be in place next week. Keith and I are here to provide you guys with some new technology and to make sure things run smoothly. You guys have built a terrific community and we don't feel any sort of policy change is in order.

Thanks again for having us, I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hello,
I have a question regarding forum supporters. I became a VIP platinum member last month and I was wondering how the membership has changed now that the software has changed.

Do we get our fun emoticons back like the happy dancing bunnies. or do we still have them and I'm missing something?

Also, is it possible to add a return to 'top of page' option in a thread, like in the old software?

We had to change the format of supporters. It is now a 1 tier annual donation. Your time has been extended based on the amount you donated. For example previous platinum users now have three 1 year subscriptions.

I'm working on getting those added back.

I will need to check on the "top of page" button to see if we can add it.

I know that you have said this is a free site and always will be, but what "donations" are you talking about.

And what about signatures? I set one up this morning then when I saw it wasn't posting I went to look and see if I saved it and now it's telling me "Sorry, you are not permitted to have a signature." So do we get them or not???

And :goodjob on getting smiles back!

RO has always had special options for donators to help support the forum. Things like a signature on the old RO were VIP only.

if you go to "my account" ~> "premium membership" (at the very bottom), you can volunteer to donate $25/year to help keep RO funded ;)

is there any way we can get our mailboxes to store more than 50 messages TOTAL counting both sent and received? I managed to finally get mine down under 50, but *barely* and it's going to fill right back up the next time I chat with someone.

Forum Tech -

In the last hour or so, the formatting did something weird so that the graphic at the top of the page now covers the blue bar and the first several lines of text.

Our names and names of our rabbits used to be included with our personal info when we posted something(if we wanted it included). Is that going to be an option again?

Thanks! And thanks for getting our happy rabbit emoticons back :happyrabbit:

Can you post a screen shot please.

Thanks.

I don't see anything called Registry. How do we get to it?

That is it, just click the link, or click "rabbits" along the blue bar at the top of the screen. Then just add a rabbit.

:welcome2 Thanks for having me back. I will have to have a look around later. I knew something was not right when I couldn't log in and never received an e-mail. Hope you have all been well.

Sorrrry, in the middle of a rescue crisis (what's new, lol!) but I will respond about the sponsorship subscriptions, I may have missed some of them! But sponsors remain sponsors until you get what's been promised or at least an equivalent. :) I'll be working out some of this with Keith and Austin. :) Thanks so much for supporting the forum!
