I have 2 german/french angora bucks that i got at 6 weeks old and have now just turned a year I love them to death and had them living in the house with me until a few months ago when I became pregnant I have built them a hutch outside and found once moving them out there they have started to get matts i have been trying to groom them but having difficulty with how to do it without upsetting them they are very sweet except when it comes to them being groomed.i have tryed to find a groomer in my area but no one will do rabbits.if anyone can help me with any technics i can use to get them and myself comfortable with grooming before the mats get to out of control i would apprieciate it

We have had angora rabbits at our shelter but I do not really know how to groom them other than to brush them daily.

I tried to find an article for you but I am hoping that someone with an angora will be able to give you personal tips.

I also suggest that you place an additional thread re. this in the Rabbitry section of the forum. Someof our members breed and show and would know all the techniques necessary to keep an angora's coat in great shape.
