Got gas?

I've never seen anything like it!! People are blocking the streets and are like 5 deep at the pumps to get gas. They are saying that there is a problem with the pipelines and that the gas is going to take longer to get here than expected. Stations all over the city are out and the few that have some are bombarded with people :shock: The news this morning was reporting that there were fights breaking out at some stations so the cops were on post at some of the busier stations to make sure that no one got out of line. AND one of the local radio stations were broadcasting which places had gas and which ones didn't. I'm right at a 1/2 tank so I tried to get some at the station near my house, got in line....and then was told that they JUST ran out. Grrr...... I have tomorrow and Friday off so the only thing that I NEED to do is pick up my BF at the airport tomorrow so hopefully this situation will be resolved in the next 4 days....I hope.

Anyone else having problems like this where they are?

We do, but a few weeks ago (right when Ike was hitting) there was some crazy rush around the St Louis area.

I went to the gas station around 3:00am and the guy who works there said his doughnut delivery guy said places in St Louis were out - and that a few little stations in local towns had hiked prices up to $5/gallon.

I personally saw none of it happen but I did hear a lot of talk about it.
