Hi, I was just wondering if this was a good pet carrier or if anyone has bought it and liked it. It will be for my 5 month old Netherland Drwaf bunny who I plan to get neutered very soon. ImageUploadedByRabbit Forum1389983163.930161.jpg

Are you just looking for something to take him to the vet in or something to keep him in for a few days while he recovers?
Most rabbits can stay in their cage while they recover from a neuter. You do want to make sure it isn't too big and there are no levels or things to jump up on. The bedding is one of the biggest things to consider since you don't want something that will irritate the incision, fleece or a towel will work well.
For just the trip to the vet, that carrier should be fine. Make sure it isn't too big though, a small cat one will work for most rabbits. Having the top door is helpful to get them out, but a carrier that comes apart easily is good a well and usually a bit cheaper.
This is the style that I like and is easy to find.

I also have one like this, the top door is nice.

I think that any of the above are fine. I have one like the pink one, just has to be the right size for your bun so no moving about too much when travelling.

Ok thank you everyone! He will only be in in while at the vets and going to the vets or for any future traveling. I will look for those other 2 cages also and see if I like those better.

I think the one with the two doors looks good. The top door especially might make getting your bunny out easier. I have the one with only a front door and our vet took it apart to get my bunny out, which was okay, but a top door might make it easier.

I wouldn't buy the one on Amazon - you can get an XS carrier (animals up to 10 lbs) in the cat/dog section of Walmart for like $10-15 that's perfect for a small to medium sized bunny. While there's no top door, it only takes a few seconds to undo some clips that hold the top and bottom halves together and then you can lift the whole top off - which is just as good a solution if not better.

The only noteworthy difference between the cheapest Walmart carrier and most of the more expensive ones is that the cheap one isn't "airline approved"... but if you don't intend to fly anywhere with your bunny traveling in the cargo hold, then that's irrelevant (only reason I even know about this difference is because I breed sugar gliders and will be shipping joeys via airline to their forever homes).

I've taken Nala and Gaz to the vet and such in one of the cheap carriers plenty of times (which equates to 8.5 lbs of bunny in a < 10 lbs rated carrier) and never had a single problem - they're very sturdy!
