Golden Wood cat litter

So I went to the pet store and asked the guy for hamster bedding (since they don't sell rabbit stuff and it would be safe for rabbits), he directed me to a cat litter bag.
It is labeled Golden Wood, odorless and natural cat litter, without any other details. The picture showed brown colored pellets. Don't try to google it cause I couldn't find the same product anywhere online.
What do you think?

The issue with cat litter to watch out for is the clay clumping kind which can be dangerous to rabbits if ingested. If this is a wood type pellet than it *should* be okay but of course can't say for sure if I can't see it.
Not sure of your location but a common litter choice is wood stove pellets which are sold at most home improvement stores or hardware stores and usually are about $5 for a 40lb bag so they are very reasonable.

I used to use the cat pellet litter before I got back into horses and discovered Equine Pellets at Tractor Supply! I highly recommend and second what agnesthelion said, go to a feed store or home improvement store....they work great and cost significantly less...good luck!!!

We get Pets Pick from WalMart--kiln dried pine and have used it for more than 10 years.

If you fill us in on where you're located, suggesting products would be a lot easier.
It's important not to use a clumping cat litter if you do go with cat litters. I had been using feline pine which is a kiln dried pelleted wood litter. I recently switched to a pelleted paper based litter called exquisicat.

how to test if it's clumping or not? Do I just put some in my hand and squeeze them and see whether they clump? or do they have to be wet?

It's usually labelled as clumping.

I've seen others labeled clumping or non clumping but sadly this one isn't.
I'm from Egypt, it is very hard to recommend stores for me

It's not always the "clumping" word that is the concern, it's the ingredient CLAY that you need to look for. That is what is dangerous to rabbits.

What about horse wood pellets or equine pellets? I wonder if you could find those in Egypt? They are similiar to wood stove pellets and also safe for rabbits.

I would suspect that the wood pellet litter is non clumping. The clumping litters are all clay based. I am not an expert, but with all the different wood pellets that I have used feline, equine and regular wood...that they contain any clay! Good luck!
