Going away this weekend

Just wanted to mention that I'm going to a Flemish Giant Specialty show this weekend. Will try and bring the laptop, (but don't know if I'll have interent).

Tomorrow is our 27th wedding anniversary, so we'll drive to the show site (5 1/2 hours), coop/feed/water the bunnies and then go out to dinner! (Hubby thought Denny's would be OK, but I am hopig for something a little better!)

I guess I shouldn't complain. His first suggestion was Burger King... (and he is letting me go to the show...). But even Friendly's would be nice... at least I can get an ice cream sundae.

I'll take photo's of all the Giants up there! I'm only bringing 6 or 7. 4 of the girls are on litters, 3 are due within the week, and 2 are too important to me to take out of the barn right now. But we'll have a good time. Lots of really nice people.

Twenty seven years....you don't seem old enough to me to have been married that long....(from she who is about to celebrate her 29th this year...).

All rested up! I took 7 rabbits, sold one (Jr black doe) and bought one (6/8 blue doe). We went to a steak house for dinner. It was very nice. Got a little table in a quiet corner. My husband agreed to "renewing my contract for another year". Yeah, so romantic.

Didn't do much on Saturday. I took a few 1st's in my classes, a couple seconds and a third. But on Sunday I took Best of Variety- Blue! I'm very happy with that at a Specialty show. Lots of really good rabbits and lots of excellent breeders. 160+ Flemish Giants. Not the turn out we are used to, but everyone is so worried about gas prices, a number of breeders didn't make the trip.

The 7 month old girl I bought is named Darcy and is a little shy, but sweet. She is in quarentine right now, but slowly getting used to me.

Just wanted to let everyone know, I'm planning on going to the Central Massachusetts showstomorrow and Sunday. It'sall-breed shows but 4 Flemish shows in 2 days! So I'll be away from the forum... til Sunday evening.

My daughter was riding in a car with friends on their way home from a college awards ceremony this afternoon, and they got in an accident. It was raining very hard and the young man driving lost control, they spun around a few times and hit a fence and a tree. No major injuries. some cuts and scrapes from broken glass. Car is totaled... I'm just so grateful that no one was really hurt.

So I won't be leaving until tomorrow morning (hopefully very early!). I want to make sure my daughter is really OK...
