Hi! I am new here. Excited to learn more about buns and to have found a place where I can talk about how much I love my girl without people thinking I'm weird.

I got Agnes, our blackish/grayish Lionhead a couple months ago. She was about 9 weeks old. She is the sweetest thing and I can't believe how much I've bonded to her. And her to me!

Nice to meet everyone. Off to look around and yes I will post pictures soon. She is adorable :)

Welcome to RO!

Have two lion heads myself. Love the breed. Luna, my doe, is such a hoot! Knows what she wants.

Look forward to hearing about your Agnes. Nothing weird about enjoying and getting to know such an awesome critter as bunnies. Shame some think it is. Oh well, their loss.

Whoa. Sorry, no idea why that posted so many times. Still learning this site.....

She's absolutely stunning.

I absolutely love the breed. They are such unique bunnies.

Here's my Neville (approx. 5 months old)

Look forward to hearing more stories of Agnes and watch her grow into the beautiful Lion Head she is definitely going to be.

Karen your buns are beauties!!

Neville is the color of Agnes's brothers.

Yes, I agree. Love the breed as well. Agnes has been just fabulous so far. Her personality is amazing and hysterical and she is bonding with us really well.

And who does love a bunny with a mane? :)

Thanks. Neville is a Blue Tort, which is basically a diluted black. I just love his coloring. And Luna is a Broken Chocolate. I'm hoping the pair gives some really pretty babies.

Neville is more laid back, but Luna is a hoot! She's definitely lets everyone know she's there. She made herself at home the minute we brought her home.

And have to agree about how fast Lion Head's bond to you. Both have bonded to us really well. We've had them both since babies. They are going through the teenage phase right now, but they pretty much like to be around us. Just on their terms. Typical Teenagers. lol But the foundation is good and I know after this phase is passed, they will be just like our others. Great companions with awesome personalities.

Definitely, Love that mane!

All these lionheads are so cute and fluffy! How big do they get once fully grown?

Between 2-3 lbs. Show weight is closer to 2. The fluffiness makes them look bigger though. lol

Yes their fur makes them look big sometimes. But they've got cute little compact bodies underneath :) Agnes' mom and dad were both right at 3 lbs.

Awww..your Agnes is so adorable!! We were looking into buying a lionhead before we decided to get a Mini Rex. The two deciding factors for us was the breeder said that sometimes lionheads can get eye infections from the fluffy mass of hair on their heads! Is that true? And that Mini Rex's are hypoallergenic and since my mom has allergies a Mini Rex was the obvious choice! I'm just drooling all over the pictures of the lionhead bunnies! So adorable!! Oh, and welcome! I only just joined this and I've already learned so much!

I don't know about the eye infections, but it could happen. Lots of hair. Knock on wood, been lucky. But also another factor is the wool. You have to watch for wool block with lion heads.

I got lion heads because I wanted angoras. Couldn't go with big bunnies so went small with these sweet fluffy little guys.

Though you might not get what you want, you always get what you need. And it sounds like the Mini Rex, which is a sweet, energetic bunny, is what you needed in your family. Hey, maybe one day with the Lion head.

To help my Angora fix though, I look at Lindsey's woolie babies. It's nice at RO you can drool over bunnies.lol

I haven't heard about eye infections either but they definitely have aLOT of hair! Agnes has a funny sprout almost directly in between her eyes that has come out even more since these pics were taken (her mane isn't all the way in yet) that always seems to be sticking in her eyes somehow. I think it's adorable and when she cleans herself she really getsbit sticking out good.

Your mini Rex is adorable and yes it's so fun to be able to see so many pics of other buns on here.
