I just noticed that Gizmo has what looks to be an open wound on his top eyelid today, didn't see it yesterday, it looks like he scratched himself there is a little blood but not a much, not sure how much its bothering him as he is carrying on with his normal activities ( appetite is fine, poos & pees). Not sure if I should take him in to the vet as I cannot afford it at this very moment, but if it is necessary I will find a way.
I am a little concerned because he was treated for snuffles a few weeks back and I noticed that his eyes looked a little puffy , so maybe he has been scratching because they are bothering him, i am also wondering if eye problems co-occur with snuffles ??

I would get sterile saline in the form of eye wash ( in contact lense section of the drugstore) and stream it over the sore to cleanse it;I would then cut his nails which is probably how he scratched his eyelid.
Eye problems (like runny and puffy eyes) can coinside with a bacterial infection but not particularly what you are describing as a cut.
When you get the eye wash run it under warm water in the plastic bottle before you treat his eyelid with it; test it on your arm to make sure that it it is not too warm.

You could also put a bit of triple antibiotic ointment on the scratch. Keep a close eye on it to check for infection, allergies, or even some other ailment that causes eye issues.

Ok, good just making sure:p his eye is actually looking a little better than it was yesterday, I cut his nails which i didn't realize were so long because i had just done them about 2 weeks ago..lol I will be doing them more often now;)
