Girl Scout Cookies

Yup. It's that time of year again... those familiar multi-colored boxes of cookies with really sweet pictures of little girls doing various things on them... I am talking of course, about Girl Scout Cookies. My personal favorites are Thin Mints... How 'bout you?

Bah, I used to be in Scouts. (Scouts Canada is 100% co-ed for those Americans used to Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts)

We all make fun of the Girl Guides and Brownies when they're walkin' along selling cookies, but we all buy them in secret.

My favorites are the vanilla cookies with icing in them.

I was a Girl Scout! Went to the camps in summer and everything. I love the peanut butter ones, whatever they're calling Jubilees at the moment, and the lemon ones.

I wanted to be a girl scout for a while when I was younger... I am now a 4-H'er and very happy. I'm actually running for club president this year!

BTW: the peanut butter ones are currently called Do-Si-Dos

My husband gets hit up for them at his work, so he calls me to put in the order-2 boxes thin mints, 1 each of lemon coolers and all abouts. It would not be so bad except that he is a diabetic and the girls do not eat that much sweets!:foreheadsmack::banghead

So of course this means that I will have to step up to the plate and eat them! I think that I may freeze them so they can go to Holland with us in May. Every day, every single day his mom makes coffee and a snack, I think at least twice a day, so this can be my contribution to that.
