raisin,,an entactmale ,5yr.old--black-havanna-,rabbitis now spending the night with the dvm,,after a gitract radiogragh revealing a small stomach due to an enlargement/intestinal/inflamation.??--awaiting results of blood work.//.his appetite has been off for the about 10 days,,he was examined by the dvm last week and it was decided to keep hydrated/syringe pineapple juice-with critical care,,unless eating drinking on his own...//.the opposition would not allow me to properly isolate-to-investigate/examine the rabbits habits--i am upset at myself, because of other peoples feelings-:X-allowing this problem to progress,,..sincerely james waller:p:pray:

Don't blame yourself, James. You did well getting raisin the attention he needs now. I hope he gets better soon.

It sounds like you were doing all you could to get him better on your own, and unfortunately it didn't work. That's not your fault. I hope this stay at the vet's helps him out and he'll be back to 100% soon! Some things just need a bit of professional help.

I agree with the other posts on this. You did what you could for Raisin. You are a very good bun dad.

I hope that Raisin gets better. Please keep us updated.

Which vet is he at? If you don't mind me asking.

well,we got our house baby-(rasin)- back,,and now we are looking at environmental factors for stress,,etc.//.all blood work came back/negative/for anything,..befuddled,,.he is in a coral in the living room/indications are he is fed up with the jr.cat//there is no abuse we know of,but we are concerned about his eating habits still.,so here we go again..sincerely james waller

I know you've prob already done this but, has anything changed? Around him? Anything that would cause him to be stressful?
we thought perhaps the juvinile kitten,,but i have beenfocusing-on- a dental problem called malocclusion//.this fits him just like the text -book-description.//.won,t eat pellets,hay,-very reclusive, eats only some dandylions-water -maybe-,,grinding his teeth,,loss of weight,etc...his prior exam was with hands on and otoscope.//.this dental problem -as i have been saying requires facial radiogragh/anathesia/proper examination/repair,,-plans are fri.5-7-10 am to have his regular dvm specialist examine him and make required adjustments/repairs.//.i am awaiting the dvm call now to get yet another estimate for the proceedure,,wow$$ and rising,..i think i better move closer to bill and mylinda gates--sincerely james waller:p:biggrin2:
