Ya'll remember how i told you that I was forcedto sell my rabbits last fall by my city? And the person that boughtthem that had ripped me off on them, and sold some of the breeding doesto someone else? Well, I have been in contact with the person they soldthem to. She's become a breeder friend of mine. She's used to two doesto add to her breeding herd, and is keeping the babies from them. Buttomorrow Im driving 4 hours into ohio to the mount vernon double showto pick them up. :) She's giving them to me for helping her get startedand giving her advice on the breed.

The bunnies I am picking up are Theia and hanna. That helps make up forthe other missing links in my SC herd. One of them beat my betterrabbits for a BOB at a show Once, when she first got them.:mad:and they came to her in poor condition.I sawthe poor girls and the condition they were injust minutesafter they made the sale with her. Grrrr. Lets just say i did not sellthose rabbits to that other couple that way!

So did ya get your dolls back??

I saw ya at the show... :p After Standard Chins where shown,I was standing with you, Carolyn, a blonde lady (sorry don't know hername), me and my mom. :D

Well if you are going to be in Mount Vernon, mayI recommend Mazza's Italian Restaurant just off the square downtown? It is a family run restaurant, been there for 60+years, and is excellent. Any one in Mount Vernon should beable to direct you to it. The Italian dishes are excellent,of course, and so are the fish dishes. Try the Mazza salad ifyou love garlic. And then there is the peanut butterchocolate pie to die for. It's very reasonablypriced. I hear the downtown Mexican restaurant is also good.

I'll have to check that placeout nextyear! :DI saw a lot of restruants right there near the squarebut wanted to get home rather then sit around in a restruant. :?

Lol. You shouldve said something! The blondalady was probably shelly. :) And yeah shelly gave them back to me. Ijust bre done of them right after i got them home. I plan on showingthe other before I breed her again. i got best of breed florida white, and best opposite sex standard chin to shelly's rabbits. She andcarolyn managed to beat my bucks. LOL! I knew who you were cause I asked.:pAs amatter of fact I think I was set up near you too. Well you were atleast right near the food stand a lotmessin' with rabbits. Iwas set up right by the food stand against the wall with cupcakes LOL!However, I'm never were my rabbits are LOL! They get put downand I don't return till its time to show. I'm out and about writingetc. :)

Did Carolyn tell you about her 'joke' to Howard? She stuck upthat little chin doe during the ND Chin Sr Doe class! LOL!Howard took it so well and didn't notice it for a bit till she untuckedher head from the corner of the coop. LOL! He was like "What the*cough* is that!" and then just startedlaughing up a stormLOL! It was good and stopped judging for like 5 minutes.:pThe other exhibitors weren't mad about it stopping judgingas they were all laughin too. :DLOL! I've got a little DHthat looks like a real nice BEWND from one angle. Hmmm...wonder who I can play that joke on.

Oh yeah... Congrats on your BOS in Standard Chins, I got BOS in DHs :p

Yeah she told me about that! I wish i wouldve seen it! She had just bought that little doe from me just before she did that!

I'm trying to talk carolyn and shelly to come up to some michigan showsbecause they are the only two that can beat my rabbit son the table. And chins are sanctioned up here at about every show. Trust me, myrabbits beat the crap out of the ones up here everytime to the pointwhere its almost impossible to beat mine. bUt then im kinda mean andcongradulate them when they do accomplish that! Kinda joking mean! weusuallys see around 15-25 standard chins up here, depending on theshow. :)

I think I did see you. But not sure. There was alot of people there, for a small show. :) I kinda wished they wouldve done both shows at thesame time like we do up here. ya know, youth on side while the secondshow does open on the other? Then switch once the judges have taken alunch break. And really the judges weren't given much a lunch breakthere. :( Kinda fely bad for them.

I'm one of those that will sit and groom my rabbits at a show when I grow bored. Or show them off to other people. LOL!

John sopher is the favorite to pull tricks on up here. Hint, hint. ;)

Yup! We do have some real nice quality rabbitsdown here in Ohio although we don't have double shows a lot. We havemore big single shows. :D

This is the only double show in Ohio that runs the way it does.Normally they run the way you described. Around here thejudges don't all break at the same time. Some don't even break if theydon't want to. The judges normally have a30 min break whichis enough time to go to the food booth tositandeat.

I go to shows for the socialize gathering and rabbits are just thecause to be there. ;)So I groom and let people come to me ifthey want info on my breed. :D

So are your rabbits settling in nicely?

Gee, I wish I would have known such a big gangfrom the forum was going to this show. It would have been about a 3hour drive for me. I might be going to the Central PA show this comingweekend.

There were even Flemish Giants there! :pHowever whenever they were on the table I was busy. :?

.

At our double shows we usually see around 1500-2000 rabbits for eachshow. And thats only in open. Double that amount because of the youth, and the sale animals. :) Its not uncommon to see anywhere from 60-100or more flemish, mini lops, holland lops, nethies, and mini rex perbreed at our shows.

I was surprised to see only five florida whites shown there sunday.Isn't ohio known for its meat breeds anymore? I know up here I'm usedto competeing against at 8-15 awesome FW's per class. Usually around40-50 shown in the breed per show.

I'm trying to get the standardchin breeders in ohio to comeup to the cal bra hill rabbit club in coldwater in july. And the greatlakes rba double show in august, in charlotte michigan. Three awesomeand very huge shows. :) And of course I'll be showing against them inpaulding on july 17th.

Another think to keep in mind about the Mount Vernon show was there wasanother show the same day in Lebanon so our numbers were dividedbetween two showsSunday. ;)

yeah i knew about the other show. And yeah i edited the post. But its just frustrating dealing with people like that.

Thanks :) I just wanna save ya bum for chargesif they saw that. They would be someone to do that... :?Yes,I agree there are just people i'dnever do business with. :?
