Getting our rabbit out of Australia

Hello everyone,
My husband and I are relocating from Sydney, Australia back to Ireland and we are finding it extremely difficult to find a way to get our rabbit out of Australia due to Covid. We are trying with the company Dogtainers (for a quote of $6.5K!!) but all other options have said no to rabbits!
Any help would be massively appreciated as we are trying to do anything we can to make sure he moves with us!

Maybe try talking to a rabbit rescue in your country, to see if they have any info or ideas. Or maybe the Melbourne rabbit clinic might have some ideas. You could also try talking to zoos/animal parks, as they would certainly have lots of experience in international animal transport.
