Hello people. I am new to this site and I really want a rabbit. Is there any information I should know about rabbits? Thanks so much! I'm so excited to get a rabbit.

Welcome!

There is so much to know about rabbits. Here are a few tips:

Rabbits are not just "cage" animals. They need free run and interaction everyday

Rabbits can be litter trained

Rabbits generally do not like being held, although with time and patience you can bond very closely with a pet rabbit. They each have unique personalities

Rabbits need pellets, hay and greens in their diet

Shelters have many adoption options. Adult buns are already fixed and through the teenage hormone stage

If you get a baby, find a rabbit savvy vet who can spay or neuter your bun

This is a great site full of lots of info. Let us know if you have any other questions!

Thanks so much. I have had lots of experiance with guinea pigs but not bunnies. I hope to find lots of good info on here.

Everything Lisa said is right. Rabbits are not cheap, and you have to be willing to invest lots of time and money to them. But, they are remarkable pets, and if you know how to take care of them, its great!
