Getting a Newzealand bunny next week!

Well, since I got into rabbits, I have wanted a new Zealand.. Just love them!! And, finally I get to get my first new Zealand bunny on Monday!! I can not wait! So glad that we have the hutch space that we do.. otherwise I would never be able to get one!

Congratulations! Male or female or both? lol How old? Bunny not you! lol Camera ready? You know we will need pix as soon as possible! lol I'm a great one to talk about pix, still haven't got a working camera! Will be watching for those updates!

Well.. now I am not so sure about this one! It would have been a male.. but I asked how old the bunnies are after I said I would take one. I was getting a lion head doe and a new Zealand buck.. Well, one litter was born on march 8th and the other march 11th, so putting the one at 5 weeks old today and the other 5 weeks old Monday. I had arranged to pick bunnies up on Monday (before finding out their age). So now I am not so sure about it!

New zealands are quite fun! I have a pair myself (appropriately named Romeo and Juliet). I've seen a crap ton of breeders pull at 4 weeks so a 5 week old is not surprising. I usually wean out my boys at 5 weeks and the girls at 6 weeks only because of the amount of food & water they are going through- I can't keep enough there for them.
