Me and my mom were looking for veggies for the buns to eat and on here it says some flowers:

Has anyone ever given their bunny flowers? We have a ton of Geraniums around our house and my mom said I could give them to them!

Is there a certain amount that can be fed? Are they high in sugar? Is it only the flower or can they eat the leaves too? Sorry for all the questions! :p

Hi Boz,

Buttercup LOVES Marigolds and Roses. Pansies are also on the can have list. Never fed mine Geraniums though.

I have given my bunnies geraniums and roses, as well as dandelions of course, lol. They don't really like the roses, but they love dandies, and will nibble on geraniums. I've eaten a geranium before too, and I've given it to my kitty as well. lol.

I wouldn't feed to much at first, maybe a few petals each, and that's it. They should be more like a treat, or you can put 2 petals on their salads or whatever you choose. As for the leaves, I'm not sure....I just gave my bunnies the flower part (besides Dandies, they can eat the entire part of a dandie).
