I said a little about Spike in the introductions page (and there are more pics there), but I guess this is where we are supposed to talk about their daily life and stuff? Spike came into our lives 4 years ago. We really wanted a pet, but I refuse to keep a dog in a tiny one bedroom apartment and hubby is badly allergic to cats. A friend of mine (who had 2 buns) harped and harped on my about getting a bunny and kept sending me pics of poor buns that needed to be adopted. I found Spike through her. A girl needed to give him a forever home, and the first time I held him I was in love. :heartshearts I had no idea how much you could bond with a bun and how much affection they crave. Spike likes to follow me around the apartment and sit on my feet when I brush my teeth. He likes to greet me with kisses to the feet or forehead (whatever is closest at the time). Hubby had never had a pet and was terrified at first, but now he loves Spike so much and loves spending time with him like I do. Spike loves his romaine lettuce and greens, hay, and pellets (but those are restricted). He doesn't get too many treats, but when he does, he prefers apples or a bit of pineapple. He is an energetic and lovable little guy and is incredibly spoiled - but very much worth it. :bunnyheart:bunnyheart
This is Spike last Christmas waiting for Santa (don't worry, the stocking came out of the pen after the pic - he would have eaten it before Santa got to it otherwise, lol!)
