I just wanted to talk for a minute. Today was so rough...

I had my first bunny trip to the vet today, and it was so stressful. I had to take Maisie in for lack of pooping, still am having probs with her not pooping, but she has meds in her system that should help her out. Also, my husband left for Bakersfield (about 2hrs away) again for three days (until very late Fri night), so I have to handle Maisie and her meds by myself (not to mention the stress of this happening with her at all).

I'm not upset with my husband, or anything, don't get me wrong...work is work. I just felt like talking about it a bit and getting it all out. :)

It feels good to talk (well, type) about it...and I hope things don't get any worse, but rather much better and work out to be just fine in the end. I've just got to keep my spirit up and remember that she is doing really well, considering. (The vet said she was actually well on her way to recovering her body herself, and that I was lucky.)

I know things will work out fine, but it's difficult.

I might not be online much for the next couple days, so bear with me. I'll come online and keep things with Maisie updated, though. :)

Hugs to you guys! :)

Rosie

P.S. Here's a link to what's happening with Maisie:

Aww! I feel bad for you. :(

Don't worry though! Worrying is just a waste of a great mind! Masie will be just fine :). Try to stay calm, and don't even think about the worst because I have a feeling Masie is going to be just fine :). I know this doesn't help soothe the worry, but I know how panicy it gets with a sick bun.
:hug:
I know how you feel :(. Keep hanging on, you're doing a great job!

Thank you so much...I need all the encouraging words I can get right now. It's rough...and it's been such an incredibly emotional day! Between crying about Maisie, to crying at my husband leaving (though it's only for two nights...it's still rough), it's been one heck of a day!

It'll be okay, I can feel it...it's just such an emotional experience!! It really strengthens the bond, though, doesn't it?

My wonderful babies!!!! :D

hey maherwoman

i know what your going through...its weird actually... today i took our bunny to the vet for the first time...for the same reason to..not pooping,eating etc.. hes got medicine in him right now to..and im still having probs with him pooping now... it is all really stressful..longer petey goes without pooping the worse his chances are..other treatments that are available right now dont usually have a good outcome..

hope maisie gets better soon! you & your family will be in my thoughts! keep us updated!

Me, too...both for your boy and for my girl. We're in it together!

I've got some good signs of eating both hay and pellets on my side, so hopefully your Petey will reflect. :)

Hugs to you and yours!!

weird.. im also having to handle peteys meds all by myself ...one of my cousins just came over to stay the night with me, but shes nothelping me..not a bunny person:(

Oo Bre :(. I'm not sure if Pepsi actualy had a problem with a blockage before (That's what the vet though only from palpation, he felt a hard lump in her intestines, but wasn't the most rabbit savy vet). Iknow how panicy it is, as Pepsi went I think two days with no sign of poop. Even the few poop, it's a good sign! Keep him hydrated and a nice belly rub probably would be good for him as well!

I feel sorry for you two :( I really do. I hope everybunny improves quickly!

:pray:

ATTENTION!! Maisie has officially left me a nice, dark brown, pile of poos!!!! YAY!! I'll of course continue giving her the meds...but I wanted to report to ya'll about the wonderful news!!!!

:bunnydance::bunnydance::colors::colors::elephant::elephant:

I'm so relieved!!!!

Yes, definite progress occurring...she's got a very nice-sized pile of poop in there now...so we're doing okay again! :)

Thanks for all your hugs and prayers, everyone!! Maisie sends her love, and so do I!! :)

:bunnyheart:inlove::kiss:

I sure do love you guys!! :hug:

I didn't see this until tonight...I have been through the stasis thing.....just about wipes a person out....looking at the litterbox and all that. So glad she's better and that you got throught it OK...No doubt it is a difficult time

She sure is a tough little cookie!! That's the best description for her! :)

Yeah, we've had a lot going on. We were gone all day yesterday, and were out most of the day before, too. So, we've been rediculously busy! :)
